Strategic Parking Review Questionnaire

Why are we doing this?

The Council is currently undertaking a review of its parking service and, as part of
this process, would like to hear from the public with their views. In addition to three
‘road shows’ held in Calderdale in early February 2009, we have also produced this
questionnaire to give you the opportunity to give us your views on parking and what
direction this review should be going in / what issues it should be looking at.

About this questionnaire

In this questionnaire we have tried to ask specific questions which will provide
information on travel and parking patterns and then break your responses down into
the different ‘groups’ of parking restrictions. This will help us to focus on the more
general concerns. In addition, we have also left space for additional comments
which you are welcome to complete as well. We value everyone’s opinion but we
are looking at the Council’s parking service at strategic level and how it can be
improved for the future rather than looking at very specific issues. e.g. “we need a
resident parking scheme in West Vale” is not an issue we can specifically look at as
part of this review.

Whilst you may not use all the parking facilities we ask about in this questionnaire,
please answer as fully as you can. If you have any problems regarding this
questionnaire or need it in a different format, please do not hesitate to contact us on
01422 392171.

You can download this questionnaire on-line at

All questionnaires should be returned to the address shown at the end of the
questionnaire no later than 28th February 2009.
