GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
Celebrant: With the Risen Christ our hope is revived, alive and strengthened, our spirit renewed. In
the midst of our Easter praise, let us humbly place our needs before God:

Commentator: The Response is, “Lord, hear our prayer.”

1. For Pope Francis and all religious, that they be filled with hope in the risen Christ to renew the
face of the earth, to restore peace among men and to keep alive the divine presence in our
midst. Let us pray to the Lord.

2. For the nations and peoples of the world, that the peace of the risen Christ may reign forever.
Let us pray to the Lord.

3. For the newly baptised who have been washed in the waters of rebirth, that they be upheld in
this new life and remain steadfast in faith, joyful in hope and rooted in Christ’s love. Let us pray
to the Lord.

4. For all members of the church, that they may embrace the glory of risen Life and be Christ’s
risen Presence for all they meet. Let us pray to the Lord.

5. For all those who are suffering, that they may be freed from their infirmities and recreated and
healed in the life of the risen Christ. Let us pray to the Lord.

6. We now pray for our personal intentions (pause for 30 sec. for the congregation to pray). Let us
pray to the Lord.

CONCLUDING PRAYER

Celebrant: Father of life, Author of love, in raising your Son from the grave all of creation has
been reborn. May the life and love manifested in the paschal mystery be a
constant and lasting reality in our lives. We ask this through Christ, our risen Lord.
Amen.
