are fitted with strategic strain gauges. Students load each structure and record strain values at each
strain station. Analysis is then done to determine how much strain each component is subject to for different loading
scenarios. The system may look simplistic, but rest assured, it will provide an exciting and challenging environment for
learning a fairly complex topic.

into alternative energy, our WindLabTM Wind Turbine Electrical Generation System

We’ve designed a lab scale wind turbine that comes equipped with its own programmable
wind. That’s right; you program your wind conditions. That wind powers a 1 meter sized,
three-phase electric generation wind turbine. You have to see the unit to believe it. The wind
turbine sports replaceable airfoils in a ground adjustable hub. You can even design your own
blades and test them against the ones that came with the unit (see if the ones we designed are any good). Ever see a
