The Professional level exam will test the (1) numerical ability (i.e.

basic operations, word problems),

(2) analytical ability (i.e. word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, data
interpretation, and (3) verbal ability (i.e. grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph
organization, reading comprehension) of examinees.

The Sub-professional level exam has the same scope except for analytical ability, which is replaced
by clerical ability (i.e. filing and spelling).

Additionally, exam for both Professional and Sub-professional Levels will contain general questions
about the Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and
Employees (R.A. 6713), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment
Management and Protection.
