DAFF DAFF CM HOOD CLEAN ROOMS TIEPA FILTER HOUSING FOR CEILINGS AND WALLS a WE 2a] S11 “ We maeFitter Sab DAFF DCM HOOD FILTER APPLICATION The DCM Hoodis a ceiling module for HEPA filters such as the MICRO-DAFF OR LAMI-CELL. The module has been designed for use in applications where ultra clean air is required. Applications can be hospital operating theatres, intensive care units, biological laboratories and in production area for the pharmaceutical , food processing micro-electronic and optical industries. The DCM Hood qualifies for class 100 clean room environment when using the perforated plate on the downstream side accompanied by the proper filter selection. The units may also be applied in exhaust systems. CONSTRUCTION The standard DCM Hood is made of extruded aluminum and has a white (RAL9010) electrostatic powder coating which is resistant to disinfectants. The air enters through a round inlet collar on the side of the unit. As an option unit is available in Stainless Stee! and/or a round inlet collar on the top of the unit. Inside the unit the filter is secured against the filter frame by using spring loaded clamps. This provides a continuos and constant pressure against the filter sealing gasket. As an option test groove in the frame is available for testing the gasket seal, according to DIN 1946. A test tube is standard included on the unit for measuring the pressure drop over the filter. INSTALLATION The DCM Hood can be mounted in almost any type of ceiling. Predrilled holes for suspension wires are provided. As an option a module with an ‘outside flange is available. On the right are two installation examples. The filter itself is installed from the room side into the DCM Hood and is sealed by a spring-loaded clamp. Ifyou have a special installation requirement, our representative will be glad to provide you with a recommendation for your application. FUSERS There are three diffetent types of diffusers for air distribution a 4-way directional, a rectangle and a perforated plate. The diffusers are connected to a central holding are located inside the ceiling module. This holding bar is removable when installing or replacing the filter. For easy access to the filter and test ports measurement and/or DIN leak test) all three diffusers are removable from inside the room. the 4-way directional diffuser is standard electrostatic, polyester powder coated on off-white (RAL9002) ands mounted with a center bolt. The rectangle diffuser and perforated plate diffusers available in standard white (RAL9010).. Stainless steel diffusers is available as option.
