1 There is a lot of work here Deena, and
Initiate self-directed ------------------------- you clearly are developing self directed
practice with a measure of A B C D F practice, and are working independently. I
independence feel however, that there are parallel
practices/projects emerging that are very
different and therefore lack clarity. This is
something I would like to discuss in a
tutorial as we action plan the activity for
the rest of this module.
2 Demonstrated to a high level in terms of
Evidence a knowledge of ------------------------- photography, less sophisticated in terms
contemporary art in relation A B C D F of painting and drawing. The
to identified themes photographic practice you have
submitted provides a high level of
contemporary knowledge and an
understanding of relevant themes. This is
an area of your practice that you should
continue to develop.
3 A broad range of experiments with
Experiment with media, ------------------------- media, methods and materials that is to
methods and materials A B C D F be commended. There is no pressure in
responding to unexpected terms of the module, or the expectations
outcomes of the course team to deviate from
photography Deena, unless this is what
you would like to do. The sophistication
of the photographic work is clear, but
requires structure, context and reflection
in terms of how it is presented for
assessment.
4 You develop creative and imaginative
Develop creative and ------------------------- solutions to the problems you identify,
imaginative solutions to A B C D F across a wide range of media. There is a
naivety to some of these experiments
identified problems (using cereal etc to construct images) that
is in direct contrast to the photographic
work you have produced. This is where
the submission is strongest across all
learning outcomes.
5
Demonstrate initiative and

resourcefulness in decision submission.

General Comments and areas for improvements

I would like to organise a tutorial as soon as possible to discuss the work you have made in
response to the Manchester Arena bombing and to discuss future practice in terms of
photography. I am proposing that the photography is re submitted in a more structured and sign
posted manner in order to develop meaningful feedback and action plans.
