1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
 MST is using the eye contact strategy to let the students well behave and to avoid noises. I would
like to focus on using this strategy which I found it useful to control the students.
2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
 I will use the eye contact to control on the students when they are misbehaving so they will know
that they did something wrong.

Reflection 3: (Sound “Kk”)

What went well:

Most of the students were absent, and there were only 12 students in the class.

They were well behaved and engorged with the lesson and participating. They

enjoyed most doing the hands printing activity on the letter “H” and the watermelon

activity. Besides, Abdulaziz usually always quiet and not participating. However, for

the hand printing activity, he was excited, and he knew two words which are; Hand

and Hut. That made me proud that he recognizes words that have letter “H” MST

was happy for that also. Some of the students like Amna knew already some words

such as; Horse and house which is very good, and the letter is new for them.

Moreover, I used the eye contact two times for Rashid because he was talking to

Mohammed and he stopped talking for the second time. In general, it seems to me

that they understood the sound and it was easy for them to write it also. According

to Howard Gardner, he believes that: “Children may study better with music, show

sensitivity to rhythm and sound and they love music “(McLeod, Simply Psychology, 2012).
So, using the songs can teach the students better, and they enjoy, have fun and learn

faster through the song that what I realized by using songs in teaching.

Even better if:

Some students who were doing the weaving letter “H” faces some difficulties to enter

the string into the dotes although I did the dotes less and the string was thin. I think

I will let them trace on the letter or use the playdough to make the letter which will

be easier for them.
