(FSAI) 2018
Participation
Participation in this competition is free of charge and open to Indonesian public (students,
professionals, film enthusiast). Each film can be submitted by an individual or by a team.
Multiple entries from individuals or teams are permitted, but each submission must
be registered separately.
All participants are encouraged to post information about their work and use social media.
Submission

Submissions open on Thursday, 5 October 2017 and close on Thursday, 30 November
2017.
Competition is open to Indonesian and Australian public (students, professionals, film
enthusiast)
All film genres are accepted (animation, fiction, documentary, horror, etc)
Latest film production: 2016
Maximum film duration: 15 mins
All submitted films must have English subtitles
Participants must submit their film in full-length version and the trailer version (1
minute maximum)
Participants must agree for the trailer version of their film to be posted on Embassy’s
social media platforms
Participants are responsible for all copyrights related to production and ownership of
all materials in the submitted film.
Participants are responsible for all the costs and delivery processes of the submitted
films.
Films should be submitted along with completed FSAI Short Film Competition's Form
(link to the form) through one of the following methods:
a. Submission of film and trailer in form of DVD to Advocacy and Outreach
Section, The Australian Embassy Jakarta Jl. Patra Kuningan Raya Kav. 1-4
Jakarta Selatan 12950 (please also send the completed form; the DVD sent
the flash disk sent shall not be returned to participants)

b. Submission of film and trailer in form flash disk in one of the following file
formats:*.avi, *.mov, *.mp4 to Advocacy and Outreach Section, The Australian
Embassy Jakarta Jl. Patra Kuningan Raya Kav. 1-4 Jakarta Selatan 12950
(please also send the completed form; the flash disk sent shall not be returned
to participants)
c. Submission of the film and trailer through encrypted link of uploaded film via
Vimeo or YouTube to FSAI Short Film Competition email:
sinemaozid@gmail.com. (please also send the completed form and the
password to the link via email to sinemaozid@gmail.com)
Uploaded film should be accessible for internal screening in selection process until
January 7 2018
The winner will be announced at the closing of FSAI 2018 on Sunday, 28 January 2018.
Eligible Submission
All entries must be original film of the submitter.
Entries that infringe existing copyright or include trademarked images or themes will
not be accepted.
Entries must not consist of hate speech, explicit language, pornographic, violent, or
sexual content, racial, religious, cultural and political sensitive matters.

By entering this competition, you release the organisers from and indemnify the
organisers against any and all third party claims, liabilities, damages, costs and
expenses arising from or in connection with this competition.
Shortlisted entrants agree to have their film, portrait, title of film and descriptions,
published online.
Film Selection
The FSAI Committee has the rights to reject and refuse the late-submitted films and
disqualify the incomplete film submissions or films submitted with incorrect
information.
The first film selection will be done by FSAI Committee internally.
Each selected finalist will be contacted by FSAI Committee via email and phone.
The Grand Jury will select the film after the finalists FSAI Short Film Competition
announced.
The Grand Jury names will be announced in January 2018
The decisions made by FSAI Committee are final and must not be challenged.
No correspondence will be entered into FSAI Committee's decisions and final decisions of the
Grand Jury.
