METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the Research, sources of data, research instruments, research population, and
Data Gathering Procedures, Instruments used as well as the statistical tools applied in the analysis of the
data.

RESEARCH DESIGN

This study made use of the descriptive type of research, a type of method in which information
were collected to describe what existed in the study with respect to its variables.

The main objective of this research is to find out the impact of non-monetary compensation of the
Divine Word College of Legazpi in Legazpi city (college campus). The results of the interview were
utilized in evaluating DWCL’s compensation strategy.

SOURCES OF DATA

The response of the Divine Word College of Legazpi employees through the questionnaire serves
as the study’s primary source of data. The researchers also gathered from the internet, undergraduate
theses, thus, these data are the study’s secondary source of data for the formulation of findings of data.

RESPONDENTS

The respondents of the study are the employees who are currently employed in Divine word
College of Legazpi- College campus only in the year 2016-2017. Therefore, the study did not include
those employees in DWCL-North campus.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

Questionnaire was utilized in gathering the responses of the Employees in Divine Word College of
Legazpi- College campus. It is composed of three parts that will be essential in answering the stated
problems in the study. It is a checklist in which employees will choose the statements that corresponds
to their answer.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

The instruments used by the researchers in ghathering the data measured in this study are
questionnaire and personal interview. Consecutively, survey through questionnaire from the
respondents will take place during the second semester of the academic year 2016-2017 specifically the
period of gathering relevant information. The survey will carry out to purposive respondents from the
target number of participants. Then the questionnaires will be retrieved, tallied, analyzed and
interpreted.

But before that , the researchers wrote a recommendation letter from the dean to conduct an interview
through asking questions verbally to be answered by the respondent.

The other data are gather from the DWCL college and graduate library and from the internet.

STATISTICAL TREATMENT

After the date retrieval, the researchers used the descriptive method to carefully study and analyzed
the result.
