Activity 4: Puzzles
Three puzzles will be set out, a triangle, square and rectangle. The children will
then match the shapes to the correct puzzle and find the missing pieces. Children
are able to engage in conversation and learning is extended through the use of
questioning.

Activity 5: Experimenting
These shapes will be set out with a black matt behind it. This allows the children
to extend their knowledge through play and experimentation. This activity
introduces a wider variety to students giving them exposure to them so they have
an understanding of what they are when they come to learn about them. They
may also allow for the higher achieving students to demonstrate their knowledge
and understanding.
