SUBJECT: CARBON CREDIT: REPLACEMENT OF TUBE LIGHTS/BULBS

WITH ENERGY SAVERS

The energy crises in the blessed country have made the life of a
common person miserable. To overcome the energy deficiency WAPDA is
currently taking different energy saving measures to reduce load shedding. One of
the measures is to replace the existing mode of lights at houses with the energy
savers; this will save millions of units annually and also fulfills the CDM
requirement for carbon credit. WAPDA can earn valuable foreign exchange
claiming the credits of the energy conserved. In this connection it is requested that
the concern quarter may be directed to prepare the case under CDM protocol.
