Description of how to implement in the class: Sway would be useful for students when creating
presentations and also for the teacher to use for notes. In this particular activity, I used Sway to create a
vocabulary presentation. It is quick and fairly easy to use. Students and teachers could easily navigate this
tool to create concise presentations. One of the best things about this tool is the ability to share your
creation – All you need is the link to view the Sway. Some of the ways I would use this tool in my
classroom include anticipatory sets, vocabulary introductions, and mini-units. When creating a Sway, it is
very easy to add images, links, and videos. Using this productivity tool is a great way to make notes more
interesting.

Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): The Level of Technology Integration that best describes
this tool is level 1. This is because the technology is being used to present information to the students. The
students are not engaging in hands-on use of the tool.
Description of the sample Sway activity used with your students: The Sway I created introduced linear
equation vocabulary to the students. I was able to easily add pictures and definitions to my presentation.
The students would be asked to write down the definitions from the Sway and encourage to draw a visual
representation of the word. I would also give the students access to the Sway link to view the presentation
at home.
Other comments about using productivity tools in your classroom: Not only is this a great tool for
teachers to use when presenting information to students, but it is also a tool that the students could use to
create information. The tool is easy to use. One of the best things is the user can create presentations from
topics and existing documents. For students who needed more scaffolding or allowing them to create
presentations from a topic rather than new could be a form of differentiation.
