Universal Design for Learning (UDL): For students who have a hard time seeing or have not had a lot of
experience typing on a computer, we can let them use The Big Key Board.

Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will first give a brief lesson about Jimmy Carter and his
accomplishments. The students will then have to make a timeline of Jimmy Carters life. They will need to
include his date of birth, important accomplishments, and whatever else they might find. The students will
get two days to work on the timeline.

At first students will share their timeline with a group of other students and the teacher will walk around and
assess. The students will also have to turn in their timeline and the teacher will grade their timeline making
sure they had all the correct facts. The students will be able to post their timelines on Padlet and their
classmates can compare everyone’s timeline.

Reflective Practice: After creating this lesson I think it impacts the students because they are getting time to
create something on their own. They have choice on what information they want to include on their timeline.
It also is more interesting since they are able to create it online rather than just using paper and pen. After,
this lesson it could go more in depth by the students having to put their information from their timeline into a
paper format.
