ISO/TS 16949 is an ISO technical specification aimed at the development of a quality

management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention
and the reduction of variation and waste in the automotive industry supply chain. It is based on
the ISO 9001 standard and the first edition was published in June 1999 as ISO/TS 16949:1999
ISO / TS 16949: 2015 specifies the quality system requirements for the design and development,
production, installation and servicing of automotive related products. There are also some
requirements required of individuals who become customers of automotive manufacturers.

In accordance with ISO 9001: 2015 ISO / TS 16949: 2015 which become ISO technical
specification, in line with quality standard applied in America, Germany (VDA6.1), France
(EAQF) and Italy (AVSQ) with world automotive industry, which aims to reduce the need for
dual certification in meeting customer satisfaction requirements
