OBJECTIVES:

To enable the students to study the evolution of Management, to study the functions and
principles of management and to learn the application of the principles in an organization

1. Understand the management principles, role of managers, planning and management by

objectives.
2. Understand the concepts of controlling like budgetary and non budgetary control
3. Understand the concepts of selection and recruitment concepts and performance
appraisal
4. Understand and apply the planning concepts
