The advisor panel consists of items (1), (2), (3), and (4). The advisor panel is constantly monitoring the machine
for active faults. The auger and conveyor system (3) in figure 1 currently displays an active fault. If the
background of any icon is dark, you must correct the source of the active fault before attempting to operate the
machine.

Left/Up Arrow Key (5) - Press the left/up arrow key in order to move the selector upward. Press the left/up
arrow key in order to move the selector to the left. You will use this key in order to adjust some preset values in
the calibration screens. You also use this button to scroll through available lists.

Right/Down Arrow Key (6) - Press the right/down arrow key in order to move the selector downward. Press the
right/down arrow key in order to move the selector to the right. You will use this key in order to adjust some
preset values in the calibration screens. You also use this key to scroll through available lists.

Previous Screen (7) - In order to return the view to the previous screen, press previous key (7).

Home Key (8) - Press the home key (8) at any time in order to return to the home menu. Refer to "Home Menu"
for more information regarding the home menu.

OK Key (9) - Press the ok key (9) in order to make a selection or accept a value.

(10) Automatic Engine Speed Control Key

Automatic Engine Speed Control Key (10)


The automatic engine speed control key (10) is used in order to control the operating speed of the engine. Press
and hold the key for three seconds in order to turn on the automatic engine speed control. When the automatic
engine speed control is active, the key will emit a green light. When the automatic engine speed control is
inactive, the key will emit an amber light.

The automatic engine speed control is applied when the operator stops the machine. When the operator stops the
machine with the propel lever, the engine speed will decrease after a preset time limit has passed. The automatic
engine speed control automatically increases the engine speed control when the propel lever is moved from the
neutral position to the forward or the reverse position.

The automatic engine speed control is a configurable parameter. Refer to "Control" for more information about
changing the time limit for the automatic engine speed control.

Automatic Conveyor Fill (11)

When this button is engaged the conveyors will automatically feed the augers until the sonic sensor is satisfied.

Automatic Auger Fill (12)

When this button is engaged, the augers will automatically fill the screed until the sonic sensor is satisfied.

Lower Lock (13)

When this button is engaged, the screed is placed in the HOLD position during the paving when the machine is
stopped. When the machine starts to pave, the screed resumes normal operation.

Example of a potential checklist upon start-up

Before you start the machine, move the ignition key to the ON position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance
Manual, "Engine Starting" for information on starting the engine. While the key is in the ON position, the start-
up screen will appear on the operator's display screen. Ensure that you complete all of the listed tasks before you
begin operating the machine. You must use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the complete list.

Icon (14) provides information regarding the engine temperature. If you are operating in cold conditions and
icon (14) is active, the engine's cold start indicator is active. Wait for the color of the icon to change before you
start the engine.

Icon (15) provides information regarding the predicted life of the machine's battery. If icon (15) is dark, the
battery needs to be replaced.

Icon (16) refers to the hydraulic oil level. If icon (16) is dark, check the hydraulic oil level for the machine.

Gauge Cluster

The gauge cluster provides details for the listed information. Press the previous key (7) while you are viewing
the home menu in order to view the gauge cluster module.

The select profile screen lists all of the available profiles that are stored in the memory. Refer to "View/Save
Current" for more information regarding viewing a profile and saving a profile.

Use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the list of available profiles. A maximum of ten profiles may be
stored to memory. Once you highlight the desired profile, press the ok key (9). The preset preferences for the
selected profile will automatically be restored for operation.

Note: If you press the previous key (7) you will be returned to the operator menu. If you press the home key (8)
the home menu will appear.

View/Save Current

The view/save current screen allows the operator to view the settings of the selected profile. If the operator
chooses to alter any of the settings the changes can be saved from this view. The operator must press the ok key
(9) after the changes have been made in order to save the updated profile.

If you do not save the changes, the profile will revert to the previously saved settings.

Note: If you press the previous key (7) you will be returned to the operator menu. If you press the home key (8)
the home menu will appear.

Create Profile

The create profile screen is used to create a new operator profile. A maximum of ten profiles may be stored to
memory.

The blank text field (17) is the input box. Use key (5) in order to scroll to the left. Use key (6) in order to scroll
to the right. Once you have highlighted the correct letter with the selector (18), press the ok key (9). The
highlighted letter will appear in text field (17). Continue this process until the desired name has been entered. In
order to delete a letter, press the previous key (8). Once the desired name has been entered, move selector (18) to
the SAVE position. Press the ok key (9) in order to save the profile.

If you wish to cancel entering a new profile, move selector (18) to the CANCEL position and press the ok key
(9) .

Note: If you press the home key at any time, (8) the home menu will appear.

Delete Profile

The delete profile screen is used to delete an existing operator profile.

Use selector (19) in order to highlight an existing profile.

Press the ok key (9) in order to delete the selected profile.

Note: If you press the previous key (7) you will be returned to the operator menu. If you press the home key (8)

The factory set screen is used to select the factory set profile. Use the factory set screen in order to operate the
machine under the factory set parameters.

Press the ok key (9) in order to accept the factory settings.

Note: If you press the previous key (7) you will be returned to the home menu. If you press the home key (8) the
home menu will appear.

Service

The following options are accessible from the service menu. Use the navigation keys (5) and (6) in order to
scroll through the listed items. Once you highlight the desired menu, press the ok key (9) in order to select that

Diagnostics

The general performance of the machine is monitored by the ECM. If an issue is found, the issue will appear on
the active diagnostics screen. Do not use the active diagnostics screen as a reminder to perform
maintenance procedures. Follow the provided schedule in the Operation and Maintenance Manual,
"Maintenance Interval Schedule" in order to properly maintain the machine.

There are six MID codes. The MID codes are listed below.

Screed or Implement ECM "082"

Use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the list of the machine's faults. Once you highlight the desired
fault, press the ok key (9) in order to obtain more information about the fault. Do not operate the machine if
there is an active fault that requires immediate attention. If you wish to return to the service menu, press the
previous key (7). If you press the home key (8) you will return to the home menu.

Affected Module (20) - The column for the affected module is "Mid". There are three possible values for this
column. If the highlighted fault had a "Mid" value of 53, there is a fault with the operator's display. If the
highlighted fault has a "Mid" value of 39, there is a fault with the machine's electronic control module. If the
highlighted fault has a "Mid" value of 36, there is a fault with the machine's engine.

Fault Code (21) - Every fault that is detected by the active diagnostics screen has a code. Use this code in order
to determine the active fault. For more detailed information regarding the fault, press the ok key (9) while the
fault is highlighted. A detailed description will appear on the advisor panel.

Number of Occurrences (22) - The column that describes frequency of a particular fault is "Occ". The "Occ"
column counts the number of occurrences for specific fault.

First Occurrence (23) - The first occurrence of an active fault is recorded. The value that is displayed on the
engine hour meter (25) at the time of the fault is displayed in the "First" column.

Last Occurrence (24) - The last occurrence of an active fault is recorded. The value that is displayed on the
engine hour meter (25) at the time of the fault is displayed in the "Last" column.

Engine Hour Meter (25) - The engine hour meter (25) determines the total operating time of the engine.

Active Code (26) - The column that describes the nature of a fault is "Act". If the column displays a "X", the
fault is currently active. If the highlighted fault displays a "-" the fault is no longer active.

After you have selected one of the listed items, a screen will appear in order to confirm that you want to perform
a calibration. Press the ok key (9) in order to proceed with the calibration. Press the previous key (7) in order to
return to the calibration menu. If you press the home key (8) you will return to the home menu.

In order to perform the calibration, follow the steps on the screen. The steps will appear in area (27). After you
perform a step, press the ok key (9) in order to proceed to the next step. If you wish to abort the calibration,
press the previous key (7) in order to return to the calibration screen.

Once you have completed all of the steps, the message "CALIBRATION COMPLETE" will appear.

The menu for the contrast allows the operator to increase the contrast between the light and dark areas on the
advisor panel. Scroll through the options on the display setup by using keys (5) and (6). Highlight the "contrast"
option and press the ok key (9) in order to adjust the level of contrast.

Once you select the option for the contrast, press key (5) in order to decrease the contrast. Press key (6) in order
to increase the contrast. Once you have achieved the desired level of contrast, press the ok key (9) in order to
return to the display setup screen.

Units

The menu for the units allows the operator to switch the displayed units between "ENGLISH" and "METRIC"
on the advisor panel. Scroll through the options on the display setup by using keys (5) and (6). Highlight the
"units" option. The current system of units is displayed on the right side of the advisor panel screen. Press the ok
key (9) in order to change the system of units.

Scroll through the options on the display setup screen by using keys (5) and (6). Highlight the option for the
language in order to change the language that is displayed on the advisor panel. The current setting for the
language is displayed on the right side of the advisor panel screen. Press the ok key (9) in order to change the
language for the advisor panel.

Once you are in the menu for the language, use keys (5) and (6) in order to select the desired language setting.
Once you have highlighted the desired language, press the ok key (9) in order to apply the setting to the display
setup screen.

Performance Parameters

The performance parameters screen provides information to the operator regarding the general performance of
the machine. Press the ok key (8) when the information is selected in order to view a list of items that can be
displayed in this window. Use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the available items. Press the ok key (9)
in order to accept the item. The selected item will appear on the performance parameters screen.

Monitor the values on the performance parameters screen in order to determine if there is an issue with the
machine. Use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the available information. Press the previous key (7) or
the ok key (9) in order to return to the menu for the performance. Press the home key (8) in order to return to the
home menu.

The paving calculator provides the operator with a means of calculating the efficiency of the paving. The
calculated efficiency provides feedback regarding the paving performance of the crew. The paving calculator has
two different views, the paving speed and the feeder rate. Use the navigation keys (5) and (6) in order to select
the desired calculator. Once you highlight the desired calculator, press the ok key (9) in order to select that item.

Feeder Rate

You can adjust the inputs into the calculator in order to simulate your environment. Scroll through the inputs for
the calculator by using keys (5) and (6). Highlight the entry that requires a change and press the ok key (9). Use
key (5) in order to increase the selected value. Use key (6) in order to decrease the selected value. After you
have adjusted the selected value to the desired amount, press the ok key (9) in order to accept that value. Once
all of the parameters have been adjusted to fit your environment, highlight the "calculate" field. Press the ok key
(9) in order to calculate the efficiency.

If you wish to return to the paving calculator menu, press the previous key (7). If you press the home key (8) you
will return to the home menu.

Paving by Number

The paving by number menu provides a checklist of standard techniques for paving. Your environment may
require different techniques for paving. For a typical environment, follow the paving by number's checklist in
order to efficiently pave.

Automatic Engine Speed Control AESC Enable Switch Status

The "automatic engine speed control enable switch status" informs the operator if the automatic engine speed
control is activated. The automatic engine speed control has two settings ON and OFF. Use keys (5) and (6) in
order to scroll through the control list. Highlight the "AESC enable switch status" and press the ok key (9). Use
key (5) or key (6) in order to change the setting. Press the ok key (9) in order to accept the selection.

It is also possible to change the status of the AESC by using the automatic engine speed control key (10). Refer
to "Automatic Engine Speed Control Key" for a description on the key.

Note: The factory setting is between 10 seconds and 15 seconds.

Press the previous key (7) in order to return to the home menu. Press the menu key (8) in order to return to the
home menu.

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) Delay Time

The field for the "AESC Delay Time" controls the amount of time that elapses before the automatic engine speed
control activates. The automatic engine speed control ramps the engine speed to low idle. Refer to "Automatic
Engine Speed Control Key" for more information about the automatic engine speed.

You can change the time that elapses before the automatic engine speed control activates from the control menu.
Use keys (5) and (6) in order to scroll through the control menu. Highlight the "AESC Delay Time" field and
press the ok key (9). Use key (5) in order to increase the setting for the time. Use key (6) in order to decrease the
setting for the time. Press the ok key (9) in order to accept your selection.

Press the previous key (7) in order to return to the home menu. Press the home key (8) in order to return to the
home menu.

In order to change the delay time for one of the listed parameters, use keys (5) and (6) to scroll through the list.
Press the ok key (9) in order to select that item. Use key (5) in order to increase the delay time. Use key (6) in
order to decrease the delay time. Press the ok key (9) in order to accept the selected value.

Press the previous key (7) in order to return to the control menu. Press the home key (8) in order to return to the
home menu.

Totals

The totals screen is accessible from the main menu. The totals screen provides the following information.

"Distance Traveled"
