ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN CLEAN-UP DRIVE

“Linis Kanal, Iwas Baha.”
S.Y. 2016 – 2017

I. Introduction
Environmental sustainability helps prevent global warming and climate change.
One example of environmental sustainability is simply through cleaning. Cleanliness
in the environment contributes a lot in maintaining a clean and green surrounding.
Cleaning is a simple but helpful way of improving a healthy environment.

Gutter is a depression running parallel to a road designed to collect rainwater

flowing along the street and divert it into a storm drain. It alleviates water buildup on
a street, allowing pedestrians to pass without walking through puddles and reducing
the risk of hydroplaning by road vehicles.

Every rainy season, some parts of Barangay Bayog have experienced flood. This
is happened because of the different kinds of waste materials that stop the water to
flow well. It clogs the drainage. Therefore, the proponent of this project would like to
conduct a cleanup drive specifically the cleaning of the street gutter or drainage to
mitigate the times of clogging. This kind of program and project minimize its long
term effect to the environment.

II. Objectives
This project proposal aims to:
a. Make actions in mitigating the flooding at Tagpuan St.,Bayog, Los Baños,
Laguna.
b. Enable us to contribute in preventing global warming and in beautification of the
street.
c. Awakens and motivates the residents on how to take care environment most
specially the cause of flooding in their street.

that affected the proper flowing of water in the drainage.
Photo-off during the last part of the clean-up drive activity. This event truly a
memorable one and made every one of us be part to increase global concerns for
environmental action against threats to Mother Earth. It was also to give awareness to
the residence on how to safeguard, to protect, and to conserve the environment.

to have ZERO case of flood for the whole Barangay Bayog in the future. And with
this aspiration, the team is eagerly to pursue this kind of project.
