Mind management,

The most important aspect of your personality is mind. You are what your mind is. You are not so
much what your body is as your mind is. When we say that so and so person is good what we meant
that ? is mind is good. Isn’t that ?

you are what your mind is.


Even though it is the important personality of your life it is the most neglected aspect of your life.
Right of the childhood we done lots of things for the benefit of our body. We drink milk, but your
parents never teach you if you did something then your mind will become strong ? in life we prepare
our body but not our mind. In school your teacher teach your body or mind ? its our mind but we
prepare only our body.

Your entire life you live in your mind.


When you say I wake up you mean your mind. When you say I sleep what sleep ? your mind from
morning to night your birth to death…. Even though it is the least managed aspect of our life.

How to gain concentration / how to think


We know how to distract . but not concentrating. We don’t know how to think. Every time we are
thinking. Are we doing thinking or having thinking ? thinking just happening or we forcefully
thinking. If you can understand other peoples thinking then we can sit next to each other’s. We
know our mind.

How to think is more important than what to think.

Most problem comes because of less thinking. Avichara ke karan most problem comes vichar ke
karan most problems will disappear .

No thinking or not thinking. Or completely opposite thinking. Makes all problems.

Complete thinking or right thinking is the solution for all our problems.

You are what you drive. Are you what drive or are you what drives you.

Are you the driven or are you the driver

Did your body bring you or did your mind bring you here ?

The body is driven your mind is your driver.

If your driver is the command of your vehicle ? there are some times the driver tells you don’t go
there. But your mind goes there. So your mind knows the danger but your body not listen to it.
We have high ideals but your behavior is not as great as to our ideals.

When we have this gap we have the bad feelings. So we need to reduce the gap. Ideal is up current
state is down so if we need to equal the two states we either go up or go down. So the easy way is
go down. When we come down from our ideals to our behaviors , the behavior again comes down.

Why should I be the only one ? chalthay hai, it okay…blab la so many excuses . So our values
reduced to low again and again. So we can go to any low level by this habits. There is no limit. We
have lots of lots of examples are there. A person becomes this much of bad in a day ? no he
gradually reduced to this level. On the other hand some one says No I have to go up and up,
whatever the effort. So he goes up then the universal things happening your ideal will go up. So the
person have to go up again. There also you have two choose. Either you can go up or down. A fine
morning you can see a normal person go up and up and you can wonder how he reached this height
? So he didn’t went shooomp like that he went there by step by step only.

Ex. We have a value for waking up in the morning. However definition of early morning is defers.
Some one will wake up at 6, 7 or 8 but normally we will wake up half an hour later only. So who is
responsible for this up and down ? only you and you and you alone. If you learn vedantha you can’t
blame anybody for your problems . if you understand the problems are in your life are forced by you
then it is very hard to realize. So it big responsibility. You can be anything in spite of anything or
everything. who is responsible for this ? you and you alone.

Some person will say big values and big things. But we think this is not practical in this age. No.
suppose we say person who wakes up in the morning at 10 o clock then we ask him to wake up at 4
o clock. He says it’s impossible. If a person wakes up in the morning at 5 o clock. If we say him to
wake up at 4 oclock he will say it is difficult but practical but not impossible. If a person says it is
impossible it shows where the person is . For him it may be impossible but however he can gradualy
improve and make it possible. So step by step only we can reach the top.

We compromise with our values . it is extremely painful. The feeling is terrible the second time its
not bad as first time , the third time little low but next time its okay then we used with it. So bad
habits starts slowly and it gain momentum. Like a train changing track. In starting there is very short
distance but after going on this track you will reach another root.

The most amazing instrument Mind has a choice.


Not like animals. We can do something can’t do or do differently. So we have a choice. So you can
become divine, despicable or normal. Because we have a choice so we need to tought how to
exercise the choice. So we should know how to choice. Viveka shakthi - The ability to distinguish and
choose. So you can choose your path. Sadhan sadhya vivek

Sadan the mean sadhya –goal

How did you come. You come here with bike.and you leave the bike and walk to here. So you have
to use one mean to reach a goal and leave and we need to take another mean and reach your goal.
So which mean should I use when should I leave it , which is the next mean I should adopt and till
where it will get me, what it will not give me , what it will give me etc we should ask. So

we must know our goal of life.


Goal of life is not our professional goal. So what is your goal of life and which is the mean we should
reach there ? normally money is the goal of most people. So money is the mean. Not the goal. We
need money for something else. It’s just a mean. Money is mean to what ?

In economics money mean purchasing power. Money can buy what money can buy. Position, power,
pleasure, etc.? can money buy hunger ? happy ? mind Pease? True love ? true friends ? sleep ? so
you must think money as a mean to get your goal. This is the vipareetha vichaar. We think money is
the ultimate goal but actually our goal should be for happiness.

The Mind and the Brain

Hardware is the brain and software is the mind. The brain is the radio through which thought is
coming out. If radio is bad no thought won’t come. If radio station has any problem then also no
thought won’t come. If our mind is polluted with lots of thought then also the right thought won’t
come.

If you crush an orange, we will get orange juice not a grape or apple juice. Same way if you are
crushed and you will excrete hatred, jealous, angry or other bad feelings. When we asked about it
we will say some excuses or its because others etc. its all present in your mind so only these are
coming out from you.
