K-ROSET Information

K-ROSET version V1.7.0 or later supports some applications, Handling, Arc welding, Paint & Sealing
and Spot welding as one package of software. This document explains license type and operation mode
etc. about the versions.

If you use V1.6.9 or older, we recommend to replace K-ROSET itself to

newer version because license type and supported application are
different from newer one.

1. Installation of K-ROSET
Install K-ROSET in accordance with Installation Guide.
╲Documents╲K-ROSET Installation Guide_EN.pdf in the set up CD-ROM.

In case that another version has already been installed, uninstall it and
restart the computer before installing newer version. The data and projects
that you made with previous version are not deleted by the uninstallation.

2. License and Mode

There are different License and Operation Mode
A) LITE Mode (No License)
B) Trial License for Evaluation (File Key)
C) Authorized License (USB Dongle Key)

Lite Lite Mode

Only limited functions for all applications are available free of charge.
License application is not necessary.
After installation of K-ROSET, K-ROSET starts up as Lite Mode.

Trial Trial License for Evaluation

Full functions for all applications are available for 2 months free of charge. License application
is necessary via email. The license is file key and issued for each computer ONLY ONE time.
In 2 months, Trial License is expired and K-ROSET starts up as Lite Mode automatically.

Authorized License exists individually for each application, Handling, Arc Welding, Paint &
Sealing and Spot Welding. Full functions for each application are available by each
Authorized License. The License is USB Dongle Key and need to be purchased.

When you purchase the License, usually you receive new USB Dongle Key and it’s
connected together with existing key, i.e. key for different application, at same time.

However, if you would like to use your existing key for another application, too, we can
provide license update file against to the existing key. Finally, you can use one key for
different applications.

Differences of older version

The differences of V1.6.9 or older are as follows;

About LITE mode

LITE mode (hereinafter referred to as LITE) is added to a version V1.7.0 and later.
LITE can use K-ROSET free of charge though the function is limited. Even if some extended
functions are shown in the screen of K-ROSET, LITE cannot support all functions. As for available
function, refer to the table1 below.
All functions listed in the table can be used with Authorized License.
