 Introduction to Commissioning

• To ensure that the eNodeB operates normally after the installation

• Commissioning Modes:
a) Remote Commissioning with U2000
b) With USB disk and U2000
c) Local Commissioning with LMT
• Commissioning Prerequisites:
a) eNodeB hardware installed and ready
b) Transport Network ready (for Remote Commissioning with U2000)

Prepare for the Local eNodeB Commissioning on the
LMT

• Arranging for Related Information and Tools

Required for the eNodeB Commissioning on the
LMT
– Collect the information related to the eNodeB
• Refer to the operation in “eNodeB LTE Remote
Commissioning”
– Arrange for the tools required for the local
commissioning on the LMT
• Laptop
• Ethernet cable for connection to LMPT / UMPT
• Adapter for Local Maintenance for connection to UMPT

 Download & Activate the Software and Data
Configuration File

1. Power on eNodeB.
2. Insert the USB disk in USB port on the LMPT/UMPT of the BBU3900

3. eNodeB will automatically upgrade the software and download the data
configuration file
4. When the upgrade is successful, unplug the USB storage device, and proceed
with “Checking the Status of LEDs”
