Starting  with  EM  12c,  Oracle  VM  Manager  can  be  seamlessly  integrated  in  the  EM  12c
console.  This  document  describes  the  steps  that  need  to  be  performed,  assuming  you
have  an  Oracle  VM  Manager  and  an  Oracle  VM  Server  up  and  running.

From  the  EM  Home  page  select  –  Setup    Add  Target    Add  Targets  Manually

Add  Targets  Manually

Select  “Add  Non-‐Host  Targets  by  Specifying  Target  Monitoring  Properties”

Select  Target  Type  “Oracle  VM  Manager”

In  this  example  we  will  us  a  “Remote  Agent”  as  Monitoring  Agent  and  use
“oem.mycorpdomain.com:3872”

Name:  In  this  example  the  name  of  the  Oracle  VM  Manager  is
“ovmmanager.mycorpdomain.com”
EM  Agent  URL:  The  Agent  URL  has  been  entered  automatically
(http://oem.mycorpdomain.com:3872  in  this  example)

Oracle  VM  Manager  Core
Oracle  VM  Manager  URL:  In  this  example  we  enter
http://ovmmanager.mycorpdomain.com:7001

As  we  want  to  synchronize  both  Enterprise  Manager  and  Oracle  VM  Manager  with  a
specific  interval,  we  check  “Automatic  Synchronization”

Monitoring  Credentials  for  Oracle  VM  Manager
Username:  admin
Password:  <the  admin  password>

Oracle  VM  Manager  Console
Oracle  VM  Manager  Console  URL:  In  this  example  we  use
http://ovmmanager.mycorpdomain.com:7001/ovm/console

Next  press  [Submit]

When  pressing  [Job  Details]  we  can  keep  track  of  the  Job  that  has  been  submitted

After  the  Jobs  has  completed  successfully  we  navigate  via  Enterprise  Menu  
Infrastructure  Cloud    Home

Next  we  see  the  Oracle  VM  Manager  Page  showing  a  Target  Navigation  Pane  including
the  Server  Pool  (in  this  example  “MyServerPool”)  including  VM  Server
“ovmserver.mycorpdomain.com”  and  a  running  VM  Guest  “MyOVMGuestOL5.6”  and  a
non  running  Guest  “MyServer1”.

Next  you  can  examine  all  newly  added  Targets  exactly  the  way  you  can  for  any  Target  in
EM  12c.
