Ideal class size is 25-30 children/teacher for Pre-school

1 Sanitary Inspector per 20,000 population
1 midwife per 3,000 to 5,000 population
1 bed per 1000 population
10-15 beds for municipal hospital

1.3 Housing R1 (low density) < than150 persons/ha of residential area


R2 (medium density) 151 to 250 persons /ha of res. area
R3 (high density) > 250 persons/ha of residential area

1.4 Protective Services 1 Policeman and 1 fireman per 1000 population ; ideal is 1
Policeman per 500 population
1 PNP station per city /municipality
1 Fire Station per city/municipality

1.5 Social Welfare 1 day care center per barangay

2. Economic
2.1 Agriculture Standard Slope Ranges
Cropland 0%-3% = flat or level land
Cropland 3.1% - 8% = level to undulating
Fruit Trees/Grazing 8.1% - below 18% = undulating to rolling

2.2 Forestry Standard Slope Ranges


Mangrove Forest 0%-3% = flat or level land
Production forest 18 % - 30% = rolling to moderately steep hills
Production forest 30.1% - 50% = moderate to steeply mountainous
Protection Forest Above 50% = very steeply mountainous

2.3 Commerce Commercial area is 1.5 – 3% of total built up area

2.4 Industry Capitalization Employment


Micro 150K and below No specific
Cottage above 150K – 1.5 M Less than 10
Small above 1.5M – 15M 10-99
Medium above 15M – 60M 100-199
Large above 60 M 200 or more

2.5 Tourism Maximum number of rooms allowed in any resort


High density - 60-80 rooms/ha
Medium density - 30-45 rooms/ha
Low density - 10-15 rooms/ha

3.2 Classification of Rivers, Lakes and Reservoirs


fresh surface water
Class AA Public Water Supply Class 1 in protected & uninhabited
watersheds requiring only approved disinfection to meet the
National Standards for Drinking Water (NSWD)
Class A Public Water Supply Class II for water supply sources that will
require complete treatment to meet NSDW
Class B Recreational water class for bathing, swimming,
Class C For fishery propagation; for boating and for manufacturing
process after treatment
Class D For agriculture, irrigation, livestock watering; for cooling of
industrial plants
