EB members of UP CAPES are not allowed to represent any engineering organization.

HOW Email invites would be sent to all engineering organizations. Should an organization
wish to join, its representative must confirm its participation by emailing his/her
contact details to seminarseries@upcapes.org on or before February 5, 2018 11:59 PM

MECHANICS
Engineering organizations can register any
Engineering undergraduate or graduate
student under their organization
Students must create an account at
mycapes.upcapes.org and must register
under their organization to be eligible. If a
student has a pre-existing CAPES account,
he must edit his profile to include the
organization he wishes to represent.
Noncompliance will result in their
automatic disqualification.
It is the responsibility of the concerned
organization to ask permission from
students to represent their organizations
through their CAPES accounts. Complaints
regarding this will not be entertained.
A student can only represent one (1)
engineering organization.
If a student is part of two or more
organizations, he should pick only one
organization in his CAPES account to
represent in the Seminars Challenge.
Complaints regarding this matter will not
be entertained.
The participating engineering
organization should send AT LEAST five (5)
attendees to each talk all throughout the
Seminars Challenge. Noncompliance will
incur a penalty of 10 points for each
missing attendee per Jobfair Company
Talk (e.g. deduction of 10 points for only
sending one (1) out of five (5) required
attendees, deduction of 20 points for only
sending two (2) out of five (5) required
attendees, and so on).
You can convert your points into
electronic raffle tickets from February 6,
2017 until February 16, 2017 (11:59 PM)
only. After this, points in CAPES accounts
will be reset to zero.
A grace period of fifteen (15) minutes will
be allotted for each Jobfair Company Talk.
A student registering within this grace
period will receive full points. A demerit of
1 point per minute will be implemented
should a student register later than fifteen
(15) minutes. However, all attendees will
gain a minimum of 10 points regardless of
the time they registered. (e.g. arriving 30
minutes after the start of a talk will only
merit 25 points).
 POINT SYSTEM
Each org representative for a talk would earn 40 points for his organization.
BONUS
Points earned by an individual from
the Logo Quiz will also be added to his
organization total for the Seminars
Challenge. The Logo Quiz will officially
launch on January 30, 2018. Please
wait until then for further details.
If 80% of organization members from
Batch 2014 and above (Batch 2015 and
above for Computer Science students)
submit their resumes through
resume.upcapes.org, the organization
would get 2000 points (equivalent of
50 people attending a talk). Note that
only members registered under their
organization in mycapes.upcapes.org
would be counted.

1 I can’t login using my username and
password. What should I do?
If you forgot your password, you may reset
your password at mycapes.upcapes.org. If
you still can’t access your account, please
email helpdesk@upcapes.org.
2 Can I change my org affiliation?
No, you are not allowed to change your org
affiliation after February 5, 2018, 11:59 PM.
3 How do I view and claim my points?
After logging in at MyCAPES, select
“Attendance” at the navigation bar. You may
view and claim your points by selecting the
“Get Tickets” tab on the display.
4 How do I edit my account details?
After logging in at MyCAPES, select the
three-dotted icon at the top right of the
page. You may change your account details
by selecting “Settings”.
PRIZES
The top 3 engineering organizations with
the most points by the end of the Seminars
Challenge will be awarded with the
corresponding cash prizes. The consolation
prize will be electronically raffled to the
remaining participating engineering
organizations.

5 I think there is an error with my points. Who
shall I contact?
Please contact helpdesk@upcapes.org for
concerns regarding points. Do note that points
gained are not instantaneously updated at the
site. Some time will be needed to update your
points at the site.
6 How will I know if I won in a prize in the raffle?
Results will be announced and you will be
contacted if you won a prize.
7 Is my login details in myCAPES different from
other login details of UP CAPES services (e.g.
Resume Manager)?
Yes. You have to sign up a new account at every
online service website of UP CAPES that
requires login.
