In order to be considered for the ITEN Workshop, please remember to submit all

b. Budget Plan – Please follow guidelines
c. Letter of Commitment from each participating institution – Please follow
guidelines provided for drafting the letter

Application and supporting Documents must be sent in one single email, with the
subject: Application – ITEN Workshops, to Nathalia Khayat at naraujo@oas.org no later
than February 16, 2018. Questions should also be addressed to her.

proposed for the implementation of the workshop?

2. Justification of your application


a. Why is your Ministry or Secretariat of Education interested in implementing the ITEN Workshops?

b. Has your Ministry facilitated teacher training in any of the STREAM (Sciences, Technology, Reading,
Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) areas to be covered by this Workshop?
c. How will your Ministry or Secretariat of Education select the participants?
d. How many participants will your Ministry/Secretariat assign to take part in the workshop?
e. How many teachers will these participants be able to train after the workshop?
f. Are participants in your country able to access internet to take the online portion of the workshop?
g. How will your Ministry or Secretariat of Education arrange the necessary infrastructure for the on-site
portion (venue, materials, etc.)?
h. Does your Ministry or Secretariat of Education have policies, programs and/or professional
development projects for indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants, rural, displaced and other vulnerable
groups? If yes, please provide name of policy/program, brief explanation and/or a link to further
information.
i. Would your Ministry or Secretariat of Education be interested in facilitating this workshop for any of
these groups in a situation of vulnerability? Please justify your answer.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation of the ITEN Workshop


a. Is your Ministry or Secretariat of Education able to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the
workshop?
b. Please provide us a brief plan of how your Ministry/Secretariat intends to monitor and evaluate the
workshops and the training provided by participants after the workshop to other local teachers,
including the instruments to be used (attendance lists, surveys, monthly monitoring reports, among
others).
c. Will your organization be able to co-certify or validate the OAS-ITEN certificate issued after the
culmination of this workshop?
d. Would your Ministry or Secretariat of Education accept the certificate issued jointly with the OAS-ITEN
for participation and completion of all the activities of the workshop, in order to grant credits in the
teacher professional ladder?

4. Importance of the themes of the workshop for your Ministry/Secretariat of Education


a. At what level does your country's curriculum emphasize the skills of critical thinking, civic
responsibility, leadership, decision-making, communication, and participation?
b. Please share with us any objective or features of your national or regional curriculum related to these
skills, or any other information that demonstrates to our pedagogues how the workshop can benefit
