    Restate thesis: The Ancient Mesopotamians were known for
    many historical accomplishments including the Phoenician alphabet,
    Hammurabi’s Code, and the Ten Commandments.

    Subtopic sentences: All of these accomplishments have


    great historical and modern value. The Ancient Mesopotamians
    provided the first alphabet, which even the English alphabet has evolved
    from. They also left behind two critical sets of laws helping us to better
    understand their government and values. (choose the most important
    fact about each subtopic, write a sentence about it)

    Restate essential question: These significant


    historical achievements have helped to develop a knowledge of the
    Ancient Mesopotamian society.
