Scope : This Material Specification is applicable for carbon sted plates to be used in Pressure Vessel applications. 2, References: SA 516, SA 20. ASME Sec. II Part A-Ed.2007 3. Material: Carbon Steel Plates. 4, Grade, size & Qty : As Specified in Purchase Order 5. Condition: Normalized, 6. Supplementary Requirements: NIL. 7. Manufacturing: Plates shall be Normalized. Steel shall be made in open- hearth, basic Oxygen or Hlectric-arc furnace followed by refining ina Lade Metallurgy Furnace(LMF) or by another method .Sted shall be fully killed and shall confirm to the fine austenitic grain size requirement of specification SA 20. 8. Chemical Analysis : To be reported in manufacturer’s test report & should comply requirement of Table 1 of SA 516 9. Mechanical Testing : To be reported in manufacturer's test report & should comply requirement of Table 2 of SA 516 10. Impact test requirement : No 10. Name / Trade Mark. 2). Material Designation. / Grade 3), Heat No. & Test No. 4). MT. 13. Test Report : Manufacturer's Test Report shall include following Details :- 1). Material Specifications. 2). Yr Date of Specification, 3), Nominal Plate Thickness. 4), Heat No. 5), Plate Test No. 6). Heat Treatment. 7), Manufacturing Process 8). Chemical Analysis. 9). Mechanical Test Results. 10). Elongation Values in % increase & Gauge Length. 11), Marking on Plates. 14, Packing : No special packing but material shall be supplied so thatit cannot damaged in transport 15. Inspection Requirement : Materiel shall be supplied with original Manufacturer's Test Report. Inspection shall be done at our shop my our Inspector. 16, End Use of Material : Material shall be used for shell course & Dish ends forming for Pressure Vessels. REV.NO. REV.
