All right, yesterday, I have given you


assignments. Pass your assignments sideward to
the center aisle and forward to me. (Students pass their assignments)

B. REVIEW

Yesterday, we’ve discussed Irony and the Kinds


of Irony. Also, you’ve read an interesting short
story to find ironic statements. Can you recall its
title and author? (Random Student)
Sir, it’s The Wedding Dance by Amador Daguio.
Very good! Let’s test if you still remember the
story. I have here a two box. Inside the black
box, are jewelries with different colors and each
has a corresponding questions. Inside the white
box, are your names. I’ll randomly pick five (5)
of you to pick a jewelry and answer the
question. If you have answered the question a
prize will be given. I’ll give you five seconds to
answer the question. Are you ready? Yes, Sir!

Why is the story entitled, “The Wedding Dance’? “The story revolves around the second wedding
of Awiyao and He invited Lumnay, his first wife
to attend his wedding dance.”

Who are the characters in the story? “The main characters are Awiyao, Lumnay and
Madulimay.”

Where did the story took place? “Based from the story, it took place in a
mountain village.”
What is the reason, why Awiyao left Lumnay and
Marry Madulimay? “Lumnay can’t bear a child for Awiyao. In their
culture, men should have an heir to their name
and lands.”

Is Awiyao really in love with Lumnay? “Yes, Sir! It was stated in the story wherein both
of them said that they love each other but they
have to follow their custom.”
Great job, Class! For further understanding, Let’s
watch a short video clip.

C. PRE-ACTIVITY

Since you already had your groups. We will have


an activity. Your task is to create a Human Comic
Strip. Here are the mechanics:
1. Each groups will be given six (6)
pictures. The pictures are scenes in the
story.
2. The group should brainstorm and
arrange the scene chronologically with
one person per scene.
3. The group will be given 3 minutes to
prepare.
4. After that, the 6 members per group
should form a line, following the
chronological order of the scenes.
5. The teacher will raise placards
containing the numbers of scene. The
members should flip the pictures to see
if they have got the right scene. This will
last until it reaches the last member.
6. The least group that has committed Yes, Sir!
error will be declared as the winner. (The students perform their given task)
