Materials: pictures and printed instructional materials

III. PROCEDURE
A. Routinary Activities
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of Attendance

B. Motivational Activity
 First, the class needs to be divided into three groups. The three groups will compete
in a charades-like guessing game of song titles. Each of the members will take turn
to sing a song. Instead of singing the lyrics, the player in front needs to pick a syllable
which will serve as the lyrics. For example, a player happened to pick the syllable
“RA”. She will sing “RA-RA-RA” to the tune of the song that he had also picked. Within
two minutes, each group should have guessed ten song titles. The group with ten or
highest number of correct song titles will be declared as winner. If ever the three
groups happened to got ten correct song titles, the group which completed the task
within the shortest time will be the winner.
C. Lesson Proper
 The teacher will ask the students to give some of the titles that they have previously
guessed. The students will write their answers on the board.
 Afterwards, the teacher will encircle and read the verbs in every title written on the
board. Then, the students’ observation will be asked (expected answer is: there are
verbs in every title). From this, the teacher will introduce the lesson for the day, which
is imperative verbs.

Imperative verbs are action words used to give

direct commands, directions or instructions.

 The teacher will also discuss the forms of imperative verbs, affirmative and negative.
