has produced a detailed geological, basin modelling and seismic
interpretation review of this prospective region. The report not only
deals specifically with the Tanga Block, but also provides data of
relevance to the hydrocarbon exploration of the whole
onshore/offshore region of northernTanzania. New gravity and radar
data provided by a research team based in Houston has established
structural interpretations not previously available for northern
Tanzania.
