Subject: COPITINUOUS IMPROVEMENT (CI) PROGRAM COACHING - BATCH 2

Date : September 19, 2016

1. Pursuant to the Department of Education's commitment in ''Building a Culture of Continuous


Learning & Improvement the "Continnous Improvement (CI) Program'' implementation and
coaching shall be implemented in eigjit (8) Schools Division Offices that have sent Division CI Teams
to the Basic CI training last September 5 to 9,2016 at the Hotel Fortuna, Cebu Ci^.

2. CI activity is to be completed before the middle of March 2017 with all CI projects ready for
presentation during a '^R^onal/National S3noaposiam.'' Hence, the involvement of the designated CI
Teams shall be treated as a "jury duty" where pre-scheduled CI activities have to be observed and shal
take priority over matters that will arise later.

3. Each concerned Schools Division Superintendent shall approve the ehc^en Division CI Team
Leader from among those who attended Uie Basic CI training to spearhead the approved CI project The
designated CI Team Leader shall ensure that all CI project activities shall be successfully implemented
and completed on the agreed schedules. All Division CI Teams shall work ^ u n d the Coaching
Schedules (attached herewith).

4. As foundation for the CI Projects, the CI Team together with their respective Schools Division
Superintendent is hereby advised to agree upon the CI Project to be implemented. The coaching
schedules shall be followed. From September to the last coaching in December 2016, all Coaching
Sessions will be done within the Regional Office in order to ensure the proper momentum is achieved.
5. The Regional Office will shoulder the cost of meals, snacks and venue as well as ensure that
certificate of attendance/appearance is issued to attendees. AH other CI coaching-related expenses ar
to be shouldered by the respective CI Divisions.

6. The coaching session takes a maximum of eight hours- excluding travel time to and from the
coaching session venue. Each CI Team shall plan their coaching session on the basis of the agreed
schedule. There may be other CI project activities and CI team meetings for the week, the concemed
Division CI Team shall schedule its meeting accordingly for the puipose of successful implementation
of the CI project

7. Starting January 2017 until just before the CI Symposium in March 2017 the CI Divisions may
rotate sponsoring and hosting the CI Coaching sessions (refer to the attached schedules). Hie host CI
Division will sponsor the cost of the venue, snacks and food including the certificate of
attendmice/appearance. The other CI Divisions in the Cluster shall shoulder the other CI coaching-
related expenses.

8. The CI Coach is Mr. Renato B. Solis who has had extensive experience in CI, having been involved
since the start of the Pilot Schools in Bohol in 2013.

10. All expenses incurred in the CI program implementation such as CI coaching and CI project
activities, holding/hosting of conferences, attendmice to meetings, travel and other expenses relative to
the CI undertaking shall be charged a^inst the local fimds subject to the usual accounting and auditing
rules and regulations.

11. This Memorandum also serves as Travel Order.

12. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum is desired.
