Natures Marvels — Tale of a cell

I have never ceased to wonder

At the Nature’s wonderful peculiarities
And in the bio world particularly
At Its expertise and various specialties
Ways and modes which astound , amaze
And astonish one beyond measure .

Indeed,

Have you ever heard that ‘tale’

Of a vast panorama at a nano scale!
Oh! Come, come right now let us hale
That ‘unit of life’ born long ago on time scale
– and see with our own unbelieving eyes
How it is organized and how it functions
to make the life tickle and tackle
virtually performing a mini miracle
in that tiny microscopic being called ‘cell’
A grand panorama! on a micro scale!

Well , Right from the time a cell is born

It has to take care of itself and indulge also
in ‘cell to cell ‘Talk’’ with others merrily ,
Move to its assigned position and joyfully
Fit in the right place at right angle exactly;
To start playing duly its destined role
In an organism’s developing embryo
Right from the zygote as such surely
to the individual being as a whole

It has‘receptors’ on and‘gates’ in
its grandiose e- fortification
‘wrongly’! called Membrane
A unique structure which some
now choose to call Mem-e- brain
as it seems to decide on its own

 Whom to allow and whom disallow
ingress or egress and exactly how !

once some signal is received it is passed

right along one of the prescribed paths
once some thing is received it is similarly
carried along pre determined route orderly

and helped to proceed on the way

by‘molecular motors’ running on ‘tracks’
that lead one in or out this or that way
to the respective destinations or organelle (s)

Oh! isn’t it amazing but it is only

a very small part of the whole story
for messages have to be decoded
and processed and acted upon;

similarly requirements
once received, processed
by the right organelle and
the product packed and
stored or sent for use at
the right time in right way
here itself or elsewhere

,So signals have to be generated,

communicated at the right time to
the right unit and in between units
and to ensure that all act in unison
in fact coordination is sin qua non .

And have you heard of ‘cell fate’? perhaps not;is’nt it!

Well , Being a ‘ living being’ a cell has to submit to it ;
breath, eat, drink, grow,develop and have mechanism to multiply,
be able to respond to stimuli and perform the assigned task timely.

Oh! how all this happens and continues

from the beginning to the very end

 through out the life span ; right from
the birth to death in every living cell .

I wish it was possible to narrate in detail

The treatise that nature has written so well
to Compose the ‘Song of life’ and let all
its children play the assigned role fairly well
in life’s drama , singing and dancing
in tune with time ,on the stage it sets ,
with the requisite wherewithal , it provides
under its direction and remote control as well .

So let us tell it briefly

The God is Great
So he allows us
To Lift the veil
And let us peep a bit
Into that mystery
But in our vanity we
Men think we have
Made a great discovery .
So With thanks to Him
Let us proceed further
Trying to comprehend
And visualize a few more
Of His Nature’s Wonders
