ABSTRACT

The data mining trends in past present and future.Data mining techniques are important for all the field of
daily life to all fields of the life like valuable thing. This is important because we mining the data from the
mountain of the data. There are different data for different purpose but our target is to hit the valuable
data for the purpose of research and scientific use as well as daily life .here we are describing the different
trends in data mining for different field because now a day’s all fields are wide in itself. Every field has
different subjects for data mining. For example in medical field, education field, business field, research
field, multimedia field ,data mining for financial analysis, data mining for telecom industry.

INTRODUCTION

Data warehouse is the collection of data from the different database it is the ocean of data. The data
mining is the need for the classification & prediction to finding the better result or improving performance
in existing system or software. Data mining is done on data warehouse .data ware house is the collection
of different data bases .the mining process is called knowledge discovery in database (KDD) process. Its
knowledge discovery .we use data and information is the processed form of data that is useful for the all
but when we processed the information that is called the knowledge. To gain this knowledge we use
different techniques. In data mining there are many software that are used for analysis of data that are
called analytical tools these tools are used to minimize the cost and reduce the time and these are
beneficial in different ways for the users of data mining field. In this paper we are presenting the different
data mining types in current trends.

DATA MINING FUTURE TRENDS

Due to the day to day change in technology the data mining trends are also affected by the change in
technology because new techniques are very useful for the data mining and as well as for improving the
old results. We are describing some future trends in data mining that are useful for the coming
technology.

DISTRIBUTED DATA MINING

Distributed data mining is useful at present time because now a day’s most work is being done on the
distributed technology. Distributed system or distributed database is new concept in the computer
technology that is better from the old database technology.[1] distributed data base system technology is
the union of database system and computer networks.[2]sometimes the data is in different physical
locations for example any organizations have many branches in all over the world and they use
intellectual property reasons because they are too large to be on a single physical location. Its is
interesting to analyze data locally and to generate partial models. We have to combine different models to
form the global model and in finally we can validate this model on the different databases.

DATA MINING FROM SOCIAL WEB SITES

Data mining from the social networking site is important and recent trend that is useful for future. Now a
day’s social web site are popular in the people and these social websites have their lot of data. Currently
thousands of different social web sites are used by the several thousand million users. Every user creates
his profile on the social site this information is useful [3] especially when information from various social
networks (identities of the same person) is integrated. It is also useful for finding the fake profile and
wrong information because many people do miss use of the social sites.

GEOGRAPHIC AND SPATIAL DATA MINING

Geographical and spatial data mining is also important in the mining field because now a day’s
geographical information system is used in many areas that may be of the survey in forest department
where to reach the person is impossible and is also useful in the oil mining and finding the gold mine the
geographical information system is used in the improving transportation system this data base is more
detailed[4] they can be used for the extraction of implicit knowledge, spatial relationships and other
patterns that are not explicit in them. The storage of the geographical data is a problem that how we can
make a data ware house for geographical data because in geographical data base there are different type
of data and it is challenge to store that different data in the same data ware house.

TIME –SERIES DATA MINING

A time-series database consists of sequences of values or events obtained over repeated measurements of
time. Suppose that you are given time-series data relating to stock market prices. How can the data be
analyzed to identify trends? Given such data for two different stocks, can we find any similarities between
the two? Other applications involving time-series data include economic and sales forecasting, utility
studies, and the observation of natural phenomena (such as atmosphere, temperature, and wind).
A sequence database consists of sequences of ordered elements or events, recorded with or without a
concrete notion of time. Sequential pattern mining is the discovery of frequently occurring ordered events
or subsequences as patterns. An example of a sequential pattern is “Customers who buy a Canon digital
camera are likely to buy an HPcolor printer within a month.” Periodic patterns, which recur in regular
periods or durations, are another kind of pattern related to sequences.
