the right learning ecosystem for industry ready talent.
SoT offers 4 years B. Tech., 2 years M. Tech. and Doctoral

About the Department
Mechanical Engineering Department at PDPU currently
offers B. Tech, M. Tech. and Ph.D. programs. The
Department has well established laboratories in the areas
of Thermal Energy, Solar Energy, Manufacturing and
Design.
About the Workshop
Manufacturing of any product using conventional Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University
techniques, involves several steps such as primary
manufacturing (using casting, forming and powder

metallurgy) to impose basic size and shape on the Mechanical Engineering Department
product, joining (of similar and dissimilar materials). It is
important to select certain joining process that best suits REGISTRATION FORM
for materials of joining, joint geometry and required
properties. There are several fusion welding process such
as gas welding, arc welding, resistance spot welding, laser

beam welding etc which rely upon melting to join On
