PREFACE

Science aims to develop students’ critical thinking skills, creativity and innovation, and
collaboration. Through this material, students will be able to connect principles to real life
situations.

Science 10 for Millennials is geared to cater the needs of this generation’s science
learners all the essential concepts and competencies suggested by the K to 12 Curriculum.

This workbook contains the following parts:

 Performance standard that specifies the things a student needs to do by the end
of every quarter.
 Learning Competencies that defines the expected performance of students in
every lesson.
 Contextualized Examples that connects classroom instruction to real world
problems.
 Activities that enrich students’ understanding of the different scientific principles
and will further develop the processes skills required by the subject.

With this worktext, it is hoped that students will gain meaningful and lifelong learning
and develop essential scientific skills. We also hope to assist every science teacher by providing
