Cook, Carol L. “The Aerospace Industry: Its History and How It Affects the U.S. Economy.”

Teachersinstitute.yale.edu, Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute,

teachersinstitute.yale.edu/curriculum/units/1990/7/90.07.06.x.html. Accessed 26 Oct.

2017. This source gave me really useful information about how Connecticut got directly

impacted from the Aerospace Industry. It is a trustworthy source because it directly from

Yale University and because this website ends with an .edu. This source is also

trustworthy because it had accurate facts when compared with my other sources that were

from the library website

DeLuca, Richard. “The Early Years of the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company.”

Connecticuthistory.org, CT Humanities, connecticuthistory.org/the-early-years-of-the-

pratt-and-whitney-aircraft-company/. Accessed 23 Oct. 2017. This was a useful source

for me. I learned all about Rentschlers life and how he made his engine. This was useful

for me because the article had lots of facts and stats about Rentschler.

Haar, Dan. “Connecticut’s Magnificent Mn Create Flying Machine.” Hartford Courant

[Hartford], 26 Dec. 2014, www.courant.com/courant-250/moments-in-history/hc-250-p5-

aviation-innovation-20141226-story.html. Accessed 24 Oct. 2017. This was a really

useful source for me. This is because it had information about both Sikorsky and

Rentschler. It also had one time where both of these great minds met.

“Rentschler, Frederick Brant Record Setter/Industrialist.” www.Nationalaviation.org, NAHF,

www.nationalaviation.org/our-enshrinees/rentschler-frederick-brant/. Accessed 1 Nov.

2017. This article was really helpful for me because it gave a biography of Rentschler
which included a lot of facts and gave me a lot of notes. This is trustworthy website

because it has a .org and because it has been copyrighted at 2017.

Sikorskyarchives.com. Sikorsky Archives,

www.sikorskyarchives.com/IGOR%20SIKORSKY%20SPEAKS.php. Accessed 2 Nov.

2017. This website had a primary source on it. The primary source was Igor Sikorsky’s

last letter. This source is a primary source because it is a first hand account of him. He

was the one who wrote it. This website is reliable because it was updated in 2017 and

because it has primary sources in it.

Wyckoff, Edwin Brit. Helicopter Man. Jersey City, Lake Book Manufacturing, 2010. This book

was useful to me because it had a lot of information about SIkorsky’s early life that I

could not find anywhere else.
