I – INTRODUCTION
This plate is about the queuing system by the use of Jk flip flops. It will display
numbers in ascending order. Just like the cashier in UM when we were paying our e
xamination fees it will display the window serving from 1 to 3 and the counter from 0 t
o 99. Its pretty hard because its an trial and error plate we make this overtime cause
its pretty hard but the help of you sir it makes it clear.

II – OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this lab activity are as follows:

1.) To design a Sequential Circuit using basic gates with JK flip flops and dec
oder.
2.) To make understand fully the concept of Sequential Circuit
3.) To formulate a flow of way which the Sequential Circuit; queuing system wi
ll be the outcome
4.) To Develop your wiring skills.
5.) To acquire more knowledge and strategy on applying the logic circuit not o
nly in Computer application but also in Hands-on wiring.

III – LIST OF MATERIALS

Materials used in this laboratory exercise are listed below:

No. Material Quantity Specification
1. 7-segment display 3 pieces Common cathode
Quad-Output, Two-
2. 74LS32 3 pieces
Input OR gate
3. 74LS04 1 piece NOT gate
4. 74LS08 2 pieces AND gate
5. 74LS73 4 pieces JK flip flop
6. CD4511BE 1 pieces Decoder
7. Tact Switch 4 pieces
8. 1KΩ resistor 4 pieces
9. 74LS14 1 pieces
10. 74LS48 2 piece Decoder
11. Breadboard 1 piece
12. Telephone wires

IV – EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES

To actualize this design, the following laboratory procedures were taken:

1. Make a schematic in Proteus.

2. If you're done prepare your materials

3. Make sure you're materials are legit and working

4. First,make the window.

5. Second, Make the reset button

6. Third, Make the counter 0 to 99.

7. Lastly, Check it if its working.

V – PROBLEM ANALYSIS

The problem was how to make a Sequential Circuit; Queuing system using sw
itching circuits and flip flops. By the power of brainstorming and searching we found
out how to make the plate. This plate is an up counter that counts 0 to 99 with reset
and a window number display. This plate uses jk flip flops with binary outputs. The o
utputs are tied to a decoder IC then the outputs of the decoder IC tied to the inputs of
the 7 segment display.

VI – CONCLUSION
In light of this laboratory activity, the following conclusions were drawn about
Sequential Circuit; Queuing system:

1) The JK flip flops wouldn’t work if we didn’t use switching

since the tact switch serves as the clock pulse in the flip flops.
2) What you did in proteus to should be exactly the same in
your breadboard.
3) You should know how to troubleshoot.
4) Using the decoder and basic logic gates the system was
a little bit shorter than using basic gates only especially in the decoder.
5) Kindly use a debouncer circuit so that your output in the 7
segment display would stable.

VII – RECOMMENDATION

After the implementation of this laboratory activity, the following recommendati

ons were offered:

1. Make the circuit using other kind of flip-flops and de-bouncing circuit function.
2. Construct the circuit in even spacing so that errors can be detected easily.
3. Construct the circuit by jumping wires from previous equations and not directly
to the Tact Switch.
4. Make the same queuing system with 4 window counters.
5. Make use of other gates like NAND gates or XOR gates.
