variety or range of colors.
Page 19

Rapid settling concretes:

Designed to enhance early strength development, our rapid settling concretes allow
fast formwork removal, accelerated construction sequencing, and rapid repair for
such jobs as roads and airport runways. Typically used in low temperature (5-10°C)
concreting during winter, this concrete can also be used in buildings, railways, and
precast applications. In addition to saving time, this concrete technology offers
improved durability and acid resistance.

Lightweight concretes

Lightweight concrete by Synaxis incorporates advanced admixture technology with

a special aggregate to produce mixes with much lower densities than normal
concrete. Structural concretes of up to 50N/mm2 compressive strength can be
produced with a dry density of 1900kg/m3 and nonstructural mixes can be produced
with densities as low as 1000kg/m3

Following are the characteristics

• Up to 60% lighter (non-structural)

• Up to 25% lighter (structural)
• It can be pumped
• It has higher fire resistance and are stable at higher temperature
• It is environmental friendly with addition of recycled materials
• It helps reduce steel and foundation size in structure
Page 20

Self-compacting concretes

Self-compacting concretes from Synaxis has very high flow; therefore, it is self-
leveling, eliminating the need for vibration. Due to the superplasticizers used
chemical admixtures that impart very high flow SCC exhibits very high compaction as
a result of its low air content. Consequently, SCC can have very high strengths,
exceeding 50 MPa.

Stamped concretes

Stamped concrete from Synaxis is a visually attractive alternative to other paving

systems such as asphalt and block paving. Stamped concrete can be produced in a
vast range or designs and colors, matching any environment. Stamped concrete
needs little maintenance for a long lasting tough pavement for years to come.

Following are the characteristics

• Can be produced in many designs and colors

• Can be applied in any shapes
• Will not become loose and settle
• Never needs resting and relaying
• Outlasts conventional paving materials
• Better resistance to trafficking
• Requires only normal cleaning
• Up to 5 years between resealing
Page 21

Sustainability at our production

As part of our sustainable goals, Synaxis is increasingly

involved in the supply of recycled and secondary materials
to compliment its product range.

Sustainability at Synaxis is embedded in our business strategy and in our day-to-day

operations. We provide innovative building materials and solutions that satisfy the needs
of a resource-constrained society. We strive to minimize our environmental footprint, and

structures built with them.

We promote and develop sustainable construction through several initiatives and

technical support. For example, we have an expert internal pool of advocacies working
on the sustainability initiatives relating to concrete. They work on ways to maximize the
sustainability attributes and benefits of concrete and related products. Synaxis as a
sustainability mission, continuously work to improve the properties of concrete that make
it a key component of sustainable construction: durability, resistance to aggressive
environments, light reflection, and capacity to store energy, among others.

We also constantly work to develop innovative solutions that advance the sustainability of
structures made with concrete. In this way, our customers can design sustainable
buildings that can take advantage of the benefits of concrete in a wide range of
applications.

A. Glass fiber reinforced concretes (GRC)

GRC is concrete that uses glass fibers for reinforcement instead of steel. It is typically
cast in a thin section of around 1/2" to 3/4". Since the fibers cannot rust like steel, there
is no need for a protective concrete cover thickness to prevent rusting. With the thin,
hollow construction of GRC products, they can weigh a fraction of the weight of traditional
precast concrete.

GRC is a composite of cement, glass fibers, aggregates and polymers. Synaxis and
Emirates Mix GRC pioneered the design and production of glass fiber reinforced concrete
and our unique methods of detailing, manufacturing and installing GRC that have helped
make our clients, and their projects, successful. With our 12 most
prestigious projects and numerous satisfied clients Synaxis and Emirates Mix is the region
leader in GRC. We have a reputation for solving design and construction problems for
our client's.

Our GRC can be used wherever a light, strong, weather resistant, attractive and fire-
retardant material is required. GRC can be used in manufacturing architectural products
such as wall panels, window surrounds, column covers, soffits, cornices, brackets, quoins,
railings, pilasters, copings, domes, site furnishings, planters, bollards, urns and tables. We
have pioneered its use in other areas including sandwich panels, bus shelters, security
barriers, noise barriers, marine structures, cable ducts, floating pontoons, sunscreens and
storage tanks.

Synaxis GRC, thin yet strong, weighs 80%

to 95% less than solid concrete. This
makes it easier and faster to install and
reduces the load on the buildings
Light weight structure. The lighter weight and
stronger material also saves transport
costs, allows more design freedom and,
by using less material, reduces
environmental impact.
Page 30

Synaxis GRC is strong. For GRC panels,

this means it has the proven ability to
Superior strength withstand seismic loads and hurricane
winds. For architectural elements,
stronger means less chance for damage,
easier to install and longer lasting.

Synaxis GRC lasts. It is less susceptible to

weather erosion and more freeze thaw
resistant than conventional concrete. The
Durable use of glass fibers for reinforcement
rather than steel means it cannot rust and
can even be used under salt water and in
marine environments.

Our GRC provides the look and feel of

freedom in shape, color and texture than
any material.

Our GRC has a much lower

environmental impact than conventional

fibers and, in some cases mineral
pigments and special polymers, GRC is
designed to be long lasting and earth
friendly.

C. Glass fiber reinforced stone (GRS)

reinforced materials, Synaxis imagined and designed Glass Fiber Reinforced Stone, a
product which combines the light weight properties of GFRP with the look and texture of
quarried stone. Its strength and durability have been proven through the years both in
the lab and in the field. With the invention of GFRS, Synaxis Architectural combines the
latest technology with traditional elegance to bring you the best of both worlds.

D. Glass fiber reinforced gypsum (GRG)

GFRG is primarily composed of two raw materials: high density alpha-based gypsum and
glass fiber reinforcement. The gypsum plaster should be neutral or of low alkalinity to
ensure its compatibility with "E" glass fibers. Additives commonly used within the plaster
industry are acceptable provided they are used in accordance with the gypsum
manufacturer's recommendations.

Applications of GRP

GFRG is for use where it is not subject to dampness. (Do not use where it is openly
exposed to rain or for fountains, pools or wet locations. For these applications see GFRP).
GFRG can be used wherever a light, strong and fire-retardant material is required
(casinos, hotels, theaters, residential, etc.)

Sustainability performance of our GRC

At Synaxis ready-mix we are committed to helping you build green, sustainable projects.
Products alone do not provide LEED® points, but the following information will help you
determine how our products can contribute toward the performance of the building. The
main ingredients of Synaxis GRG are based on the plentiful and naturally occurring
minerals used in the manufacture of gypsum cement, aggregates, water and glass fibers.
These natural materials are not normally regarded as pollutants. Synaxis GRC itself is
considered a stable mineral based material, nontoxic and inert.

Following characteristics makes our GRC products contribute to the green

developments.

• Longer lasting materials require fewer resources for replacement.

• Reduced maintenance and repair costs.
• Lightweight panels use 90% less material than precast
• Lightweight panel reduces fuel and costs of transportation
• Unique manufacturing process applies color in our factory and delivers a quality
finish, virtually eliminating VOCs during exterior painting.
• Synaxis architectural fiberglass is fire and weather resistant.
• The low thermal conductivity of fiberglass reduces energy consumption for
heating and cooling.
• "Waste not" project is aimed at reducing amount of raw materials waste sent to
the landfills by half.

The internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of
green buildings is the LEED Green Building rating system. If you're designing towards
obtaining the maximum number of LEED credits on your building project, it's important
to understand the sections, credits and products that are impacted by materials choices.
The following details how Synaxis glass reinforced concrete products can help contribute
to qualifying for credits in those sections.
Page 44

Energy performance

Supply chain management

At Synaxis, we believe that buying better means both delivering the best procurement
contracts available and providing supply chain assurance that integrates sustainability
into our procurement decisions.

Our supplier code of conduct and ethical procurement code set clear minimum
standards and expectations for our suppliers. We take care to benchmark our
expectations and approach against the best standards in industry. To be able to truly
embed these standards across our supply chain, we ensure each interaction, negotiation
and tender that engages suppliers has sustainability at its core.

We provide training to our procurement teams in responsible sourcing issues, tools and
techniques, with expectations set as to where and how these should be utilized. We also
set our aim to assess and understand key commodity groups where we can leverage
our purchasing power to influence a broader industry transition to a more sustainable
world.

We actively manage risk as part of our processes, ensuring that we do not become
dependent
upon individual suppliers and vice versa. Our
 major works are awarded
following a rigorous competitive tendering process and decision criteria include value,
quality, assurance and relevant CSR indicators.

We assess supply chain risk at a commodity level against various sustainability aspects
tailored to our business and supplier code of conduct. By managing risk and opportunity
at a commodity level, we are able to obtain a greater insight into our supply chain and to
integrate improvements into commodity strategy plans and procurement decisions.

Due diligence of the supply chain is carried out during the ISO certification program by
a third party in the form of desktop or onsite audits, or by Synaxis in the form of
comprehensive onsite audits. All suppliers identified as being high risk have been
evaluated and, in certain cases, audited. In addition, we engage with a number of industry
partnership schemes where there is the opportunity to enable positive industry-wide
change and help develop supplier performance.

SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
Our details of sustainable business and value creation
Page 74

One of our visions is to be the leading building materials supplier in the regions of our
operations, to create value and deliver superior returns for all our stakeholders. As the
regional leader of concrete business, we aim to develop our business to support
sustainable built environment transformation and reduce the impacts of climate change.

What drives our sustainability vision?

With the global population on track
to exceed 9 billion by 2050, the construction sector
must play its
part in delivering the sustainable
cities, infrastructure and transport

in both productivities
and sustainability is needed across the entire value chain. We

recognize that companies which take a long-term view of the benefits of sustainable
solutions for value creation will achieve the greatest success. For Synaxis, this represents
a clear business opportunity. Our role is to provide the materials and technical support
that will help our customers deliver a more sustainable built environment.

The productivity challenges

Every year, almost USD 10 trillion is spent on the buildings, infrastructure, and industrial
installations that are the backbone of the global economy, and demand is rising.
Construction-
construction industry productivity has trailed that of other sectors for decades, increasing
only 1% in the last 20 years. The industry urgently needs to evolve and become more
productive if it is to meet the growing need for sustainable cities and infrastructure.

Opportunities for progress

While demand for sustainable products is undoubtedly increasing, the opportunities vary
both between and within markets in regions where we operate, our company
experiences
a spectrum of priorities across our customer base. At one end, public sector
clients and
large construction companies are leading the
way as they aim to deliver
sustainable, certified buildings at reduced costs - both financial and environmental.
However, at the other end, smaller customers in particular may have to base their
decisions on a short-term view, prioritizing upfront costs over the long-term benefits of
sustainable products and solutions in order to win contracts based on lowest tendered
build price. Within this range of priorities, there are opportunities for Synaxis.
Page 75

Green buildings

Our customers are facing an increasing trend towards achieving environmental

certification.

Environmental Design (LEED® v4) has introduced a new approach to building materials
and products that expands their role in the certification process, from the point of their
manufacture to the end-of-life of the building. Increasingly our customers - including
local government and commercial partners - are looking for technical support and
product advice throughout both the design and delivery phases of projects.

Transforming production systems

More innovative concrete design and construction techniques could boost the
productivity of the construction industry. For example, by using
more thermally efficient
and higher performance concrete mix recipes, using faster in-situ concrete formwork
systems and through incorporating more precast technology. These models not only
deliver economic benefits but also offer significant environmental benefits over the
lifetime of the building.

Developing the circular economy

With 30-40% of solid waste generation coming from the built environment, the circular,
or closed loop economy, provides a significant opportunity for our industry to reduce
costs, environmental impacts and conserve resources. Some of the biggest opportunities
lie in substituting virgin raw materials with wastes and by-products, and using alternative
fuels in production. We need to continue working to identify viable waste streams and
ensure they are put to the best possible use to maximize their value.
Page 76

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and safety management of our company
Page 77

We believe that it is our culture of safety that makes us different. Safety has long been a
top priority for Synaxis and we are united in our common goal that nobody gets hurt
at work. Embedding a strong safety culture is driven by management at every level and
for us, safety is a non- negotiable aspect of doing business with integrity. Effective safety
risk management is vital to maintaining our license to operate. We apply our Health &
Safety Policy rigorously across all areas in our company and have clear lines of
accountability through operational management up to the managing partner.

We recognize the importance of individual behaviors, particularly within the context of
a
strong global framework and we empower individuals to be responsible for their own
safety. We are also well practiced at integrating acquisitions
into our safety culture and
have developed specific processes to address the often-significant challenges in
countries and regions that traditionally have
poorer safety records.

Managing safety

in safety performance across our business. We continuously assess safety performance

across all operating locations and our locations were audited for safety
by either internal
safety managers or external agencies. We monitor leading indicators of safety
performance such as employee engagement, near-miss reporting and risk reduction
initiatives, including completion of risk assessments. In addition, we carry out a
comprehensive annual review of the health and safety performance of the company,
including joint ventures and associates.

Continued development of our safety culture is
a key focus for our company and we
emphasize behavioral safety and employee risk awareness. Any breaches of safety
procedures are subject to disciplinary action. To demonstrate the strategic imperative of
safety, we run several internal safety award schemes at business unit and regional level
which recognize superior safety performance, safety innovations and safety
achievements.

We have invested in all aspects
of health and safety during the past years. Investments
include machinery guarding, mobile plant safety upgrades, improvements in platforms
and fall protection measures, electrical systems upgrades, pedestrian/mobile plant
segregation and noise and dust reduction initiatives. Transport safety continues to be a
high priority for both on- site and off-site transport.

our business
Page 79

Environmental policy

As a diversified company, our activities vary across the full range of the building materials
sector - from heavy side businesses to light side manufacturing, and from production to
distribution. The potential environmental impacts and opportunities across these
activities vary with each line of business. To ensure a consistent approach, we apply our
Environmental Policy rigorously across all of our operating companies.

We check on the implementation of our environmental policy and requirements through

our annual environmental review process, which covers all subsidiaries, joint ventures
and associates. The environmental review process also confirms that potential
environmental risks are being managed appropriately.

Comply

As a minimum, comply with all applicable environmental legislations and continuously

improve our environmental stewardships, aiming all the time to meet or exceed industry
best practices.

Page 80

Environmental performance goals

We have set a broad range of internal environmental performance goals designed
to

drive continuous improvement across our operations. Targets focus on our heavy side
businesses which, through ready mix production, account for a significant portion of our
emissions. To meet and exceed our goals, we continuously monitor and assess
environmental performance, compliance and potential risks at the company level. Our
annual environmental review of Synaxis.

As a building materials business, we are naturally subject to stringent and continuously

evolving laws, regulations, standards and environmental best practices. To address and
comply with these standards, we require all our companies to implement an appropriate
environmental management system (EMS), tailored to the specific line of business and
local permitting regime. In many cases, our internal environmental goals exceed the local
regulatory requirements.

Environmental investments

We continuously invest in equipment and processes to improve our environmental

performance and realize sustainable innovation opportunities. Key areas of investment
include carbon reduction and resource efficiency.

Managing emissions to air

Emissions to air can have significant impacts on human health and the environment if not
properly controlled. Excluding CO2, the main emissions from our activities are
particulates, nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulphur oxide (SOx). They can
arise as fugitive
emissions, from open storage of materials, transfer of materials through uncovered
conveyors, and from loading and unloading operations.

We are committed to implementing all aspects
of our environmental policy and reducing
our impact on the environment, including reducing air emissions from all relevant
activities. We manage stack emissions by investing in modern, efficient abatement
technologies and regular maintenance. Control of fugitive emissions is achieved through
the building of enclosures for material storage and conveyor belts, and by paving plant
areas and internal roads.
Page 81

Protecting water resources

While we do not generally operate in water-stressed areas, we believe it is our obligation

to carefully manage the amount of potable and abstracted water we use in our
manufacturing and day-to-day activities. Increasing water efficiency and ensuring the
water we discharge is treated to high standards are key environmental management
priorities.
