Wells Fargo Bank Case Study

AFL Installs Data and Fiber Cable Infrastructure


Summary
AFL provided data and fiber installation and buildout for a retail branch and office
building for Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Jacksonville FL.

Challenge
Wells Fargo posted this project for open bid and competition was fierce. AFL has
had a long relationship with Wells Fargo and had first-hand knowledge of this
building through a previous project. Wells Fargo awarded AFL the Jacksonville
Tower project as a result of AFL’s experience, expertise and track record for the
previous project.

Solution
AFL installed 275 dual drops in four floors of the Wells Fargo Bank Jacksonville
Tower building. The project included the buildout of four intermediate distribution AFL completes work in one of four IDF rooms by testing
data and fiber cables that will connect workstations to
frames (IDFs) and one main distribution frame (MDF). AFL also provided data and the Wells Fargo network.

Results
This project was part of the conversion of Wachovia facilities to the Wells Fargo brand and system. The IDF rooms allow Wells Fargo
IT department to manage connectivity and networking equipment on each of the four floors. AFL’s delivery of quality data and fiber
installation work ensures an efficient conversion of Wachovia to Wells-Fargo.
