About Electronic Toll Collection Program/ FASTAG:
Electronic toll collection (ETC) aims to eliminate the delay on toll roads by collecting
tolls electronically. ETC determines whether the cars passing are enrolled in the
program, alerts enforcers for those that are not, and electronically debits the
accounts of registered car owners without requiring them to stop.

Electronic toll collection has facilitated the concession to the private sector of the
construction and operation of urban freeways. Also, it has made feasible the
improvement and the practical implementation of road congestion pricing schemes
in a limited number of urban areas to restrict auto travel in the most congested
area.

FASTag is a simple to use, reloadable tag which enables automatic deduction of

toll charges and lets you pass through the toll plaza without stopping for the cash
transaction. FASTag is linked to a prepaid account from which the applicable toll
amount is deducted. The tag employs Radio-frequency Identification (RFID)
technology and is affixed on the vehicle's windscreen after the tag account is
active.

 1. FASTAG Procurement Process:-
Step-1: VLE’s will open https://digitalseva.csc.gov.in/ and click at login
button

Step-2: Enter CSC ID and Password

Step-3: Enter in “Financial” menu

Step-4: Enter in “Electronic Toll” Menu

Step-5: Open HDFC FASTAG Menu

Step-6: New window will appeared and click at CSC Connect, Enter CSC ID &
Password

Step-7: Click at “Registration” Menu and enter all necessary information

Step-8: Once all details entered than click “Submit” button

Step-9: After Successfully Registration click at “Purchase” and select the tag.
After that click at “Submit Button” . After submit system will ask for payment

Step-10: After Submit enter wallet password for payment and validate.

Step-11: Enter Wallet PIN and Pay

Step-12: After Pay, Success payment message to be appeared.

 2. Monitoring of FASTAG Delivery Status
Step-1: VLE’s can check ordered tags details at same portal. Click at “History
button” for details.

Step-2: Click at View Details for delivery status with courier company details.

Step-3: After order within 24 hours CSC central team will dispatch and update
details. For monitoring: Courier company with AWR no will be appeared for
VLE’s.

Status:-
Pending: Only ordered by VLE’s
Dispatch: Order shipped from CSC to VLE’s
Delivered: Order Received by VLE’s

Note: VLE’s must confirm on portal once tags received. For confirmation
process refer next slide.

 3. Receiving Confirmation from VLE’s
Once tags received by VLE’s, VLE’s need to confirm on same portal under
receiving menu. If not confirm by VLE’s, not able to place further new order.

Once VLE’s confirm the received receipt, Status will change from dispatch to
deliver.
