Organization Selection:

Selecting organization for two months program for internship was not a ways task to
operate. I went through collecting information about different banks, later I joined
Machhapurchre Bank Limited as advised by my father, so I was curious to know the
working environment and the atmosphere of commercial Bank. So I choose to work
as an intern in the MBL located at Gwarko Branch. Selecting MBL was a right choice
as I found the employees there were really very cooperative and friendly which
made me learn much more about the Bank.

Placement:

About the placement I got opportunity to work in various departments like Customer
Service Department, Cash Department, Credit Department, Credit Department and
Remittance Department. But my main focus was Customer Service Department, so I
spend much time on that department. Since I was much more interested to know
and work on Customer Service Department so I choose to make inters hip report on
the same department.

Duration:

As per the requirement of the internship Tribhvwan University. Tribhvwan University


has designed this program for eight weeks i.e. two months period. As the
requirement I too completed my internship program for eight weeks on MBL Bank
starting from 27th Chaitra to 27th of Jestha 2067.

Firstly I was made familiar with the department employees and then my program
started from Customer Service Department, Remittance credit and few days in Cash
Department. I got to know the working Environment in Bank and types of word
carried out in different departments.

Activities done:

It is a totally new experience to gain working and learning in the Bank. I got
opportunity to work a four of the department but I got the chance to spend much of
my time in Customer Service Department and Remittance Department working on
these departments I got to know how the banking activities are operated and the
varieties of works that are involved to make one complete work done. Working on
these departments I got to know scanning, signature verification, filing, handling
different customers checkout, statement dispatch, account opening, account closing
make a payment etc.

As my topic of report was a Customer Service Department. I was more alert and
keen to learn the various works performed at the department and my curiosity was
also fulfilled to its limit.
LIMITATION OF STUDY:

The basic limitations of study are as follows:

1. Due to time and date limitation, department analysis could not be done.

2. As I was only intern at bank, I was not fully authorized to deal with customer
problems.

3. The study focuses on only one department.
