Get to know the different types of interview
You play as a team selection or user who will select candidates, certainly used the interview as
one of this competition process. There are actually a wide variety of engineering interview that
you can use, depending on the needs and strategies of the company, as well as the type of
candidate who will you seek.

Understanding of the interview is not only advantageous to employers (employers) but also for
job seekers (candidate), which of course can raise potential and more adequate information for
employers. For easy, here presented the kind and type of interview that customarily used in the
selection process.

1. Exploratory or an Information Interview. This is the kind of interview that is used to


start or selection information for candidates. Generally, the interviewer will explain about
the organizational structure, culture, organization of business growth, skills and
knowledge required of organizations etc. The usage of this interview will be screening
the candidates early, does have a conformance model, structure, culture as well as the
needs of the organization.
2. Structured Interview – Competencies . This is the interview to unearth potential, skills,
skills that are needed for the desired position. Interview used more directional and
focused on the required competencies, so that employers do not waste time to dig another
competency that is not too important to the position offered. The interview is often use
the phrase: " tell me, when you're having trouble ....", "How do you lead a difficult
employee set ...", "what do you do, when your boss ... ...".
3. Behavioral or situational interview. Is a kind of interview candidates to see how they
react to certain situations or circumstances. The use of this technique is able to predict
behavior (behavior) will be undertaken by the candidate when the candidate experienced
a situation or condition in his work. The user or the interviewer can use questions are
hipotetik good for digging up the behavior of the past or the future. The types of
questions that are commonly done is: " tell me when you have a situation ...", "what do
you feel when ...", "what you mean to do that ..."
4. Technical Job Interview . The right to use this interview technique to dig the expertise
and skills required in real practice experience. Generally used for jobs that require
expertise, specialization, or a real experience in the field (hands-on experience).
Pertanyaaan are commonly delivered range of technical skills, experience or situation
overcome technically, such as: " What do you do if it happens to blow out at gas wells
..?," how to avoid network from spyware, viruses, spammers, malicious threat ..?
5. The Panel Interview . This type of interview that uses more than one interviewer, usually
comes from: the User directly, Director, representatives of trade unions, human resources
etc. Everyone will ask the area their attention, is sometimes used also questions their very
nature opposed to one another. The use of these techniques will help the user or
employers in selecting candidates who are able to face any situation which is pressing or
stress.

1. Okay, Please introduce yourself briefly?
You : My name is Tohir, I am twenty two years old. I have graduated from Indonesia University,
majoring in Biology Science. I can speak English very well, even though I am not Majoring in
English and My Activity right now is employee at the Farm Company Pt.Lion star, I am also
active in several activities that related to my education background.

2. What department do you apply and why do you interested on


it ?
You : I want to apply for the Food Nutrition Analyst position, I interested working on that
position because that is my passion and I am also love working in laboratory since I was a
college student.

3. Why did you leave your previous job?


You : I leave my previous job because I want more challenge and new experiences.

4. What if in this new place you feel the same as you did in
your last work/office?
You : It is okay for me, because I think it will be different from my previous job, also as I mention
before, I love to gain new experience.

5. When were you most satisfied in your work?


You : It’s When I completed my job properly and on time, also when I get a job that related to my
passion.

6. What are your strengths, please specify each of three?


You : My strengths are, I love to learn new things, I have a good analytical thinking and I like to
pursue my target.

7. What are your weakness, please specify each of three?


You : My weakness are, I often to lose focus when I have too many distractions, next I am a
perfectionist, so sometimes I took a long time to finish a job, because I want to finish it perfectly,
and the last is I am easily to get bored.
8. Why should we hire you?
You : Because I have very good experiences in this field, even this field is my own passion, so I
have a very strong spirit for this field.

9. How much salary do you want in every month?


You : I am expecting my salary is seven and half million rupiahs per month.

10. Do you have any strategies to increase our business


income?
You : Yes, I have some great ideas to increase the income, such as create a new packaging for
your product or by doing a new type of promotion.

11. What course did you attend ?


You : I have been Attended many courses of this field, one of them is the national course about
Analysis of food chemistry that held in Surabaya 3 month ago.

12. Could you mention any food analysis that you expert in it ?
You : Besides of Nutrition, I am also an expert of Vitamin dan also an expert for method of
carbohydrate analysis, like the process of burning blood sugar.

13. Can you work with a team and under pressure ?


You : Yes I can, I also don’t think it’s a pressure because it’s the responsibility of my work and
it’s also a great change to improve the quality of myself.

14. What do you know about our company ?


You : Yes, your company is a company that engaged in digital services

15. Why do you want to work in our company?


You : Because your company have a good reputation and of course to get the great experience to
work in here.

16. What are your goals ?


You : To become a better person and more professional.

17. When were you most satisfied in your work?


you : Actually I always satisfied with my job, even every day I feel it. But when I can reach my target
continually every day and every month in a year I really satisfied with it .
18.Why should we hire you?
You :Because I have many I have sufficient experience and even more in this field. And approximately,
during the last 10 years I am struggling and work in this field to meet the needs of my family.
