Looking at the amazing city skyline at night
while enjoying a glass of exquisite wine,
my mind kept flashing back to my younger,
impoverished days when I was working
9-to-5 before joining AMWAY.

When I was considering whether or not to

join AMWAY, some people told me that it was
not easy to become a successful AMWAY
Business Owner as the direct selling market
was saturated, in addition to other issues. At
that time, those misunderstandings about
AMWAY had dampened my confidence and
enthusiasm towards the business, and I
started to hesitate and had doubts if I would
ever make it big in AMWAY.

However, I managed to hold on to my faith,

developed my AMWAY business one step
at a time and built a successful lifetime
career against all odds. A principled person
wouldn’t stray from their core beliefs. A

My first encounter with AMWAY™ was when
I turned 18; that’s when my brother gave
me a “Black Kit” (AMWAY Starter Kit) as my
birthday present. Back then, I was not aware
of its value, but the fact is, this “Black Kit” has
changed my entire life. Special thanks to my
brother cum sponsor Vincent Yean.
and focus on it 100%. I practise 3S1M and
I encourage all my downlines to do the same.
Besides that, planning is also very important
when you want to embark on the journey to
success. But remember this, planning without
any action equals to zero. With determination
and hard work, you will see results.

Many people ask me whether the AMWAY
business is worth pursuing. My answer to
them is simple – definitely. I have seen people
who have worked for 10 years fighting for
their dreams. Unfortunately, they ended up
being consumed by stress and, along the

We started out as salaried employees. After
joining AMWAY, we realised that there are
people who often get different results although
they spend the same amount of time at work.
The key is whether you have made the right
choice.
My husband worked for the same company
for more than a decade, but eventually lost
his job when his boss decided to wind up the
business. Your hard work will yield results, but
not necessarily a favourable one.
Fortunately, we decided to stay on as AMWAY
Business Owners (ABOs) amidst the economic
crisis. We even managed to qualify Sapphire
and Emerald during that difficult time and
attended the AMWAY Leadership Seminar
(ALS) held at various places around the world.
That’s proof that we made the right choice by
working with AMWAY, a business which offers
security and a promising future.

We have been doing this business for quite
some time. The fact is, persistence and belief
are what made us stay in this business, and
eventually convinced our sceptical friends and
relatives to join and support us.
Before we went full time in the business,
I was an executive working at a bank whereas
Kwai Lin was a draftswoman. Kwai Lin
discovered that the AMWAY environment was
a positive one, and she decided to sign up.
In the beginning, we faced numerous
challenges. The main setback was our
own mindset and lack of confidence in the
business and ourselves. We overcame these
obstacles by learning and staying connected
to our uplines, our centre and other business
associates.
By drawing strength from them, we were
able to build a large network of leaders
consisting of Platinums, Rubies, Emeralds
and Diamonds. Our son, Alan, who share our

can provide a better lifestyle for my family.
Although we encountered various challenges,
we managed to stay on track with a strong
desire to fulfil our dreams.
Our hard work paid off eventually. We have

and the ALS in Sydney, Hokkaido, Las Vegas

At 50 plus years old, life is now more colourful
than it used to be when I was in my 20s. When

my next goal — clinching the diamond pin in
2017!

A 58,000-tonne giant stands guard over Pearl Harbour. This is the USS
Missouri, fondly known as the “Mighty Mo”.

The battleship’s deck was where the ceremony to accept Japan’s

surrender was held, thus marking the end of World War II. “Mighty Mo”
wears its battle scar proudly; looking at the ship lengthwise, you can see
that the gunwale near the rear starboard side is slightly bent.

A touch of Hollywood magic; this Iowa-class battleship was featured in the AMWAY LEADERSHIP SEMINAR 2017

film “Under Siege” and “Battleship”. In the latter, the ship was featured in
the final battle scene where it successfully defeated an alien invasion.

Step on the deck of “Mighty Mo” for a close-up view of its intimidating
16-inch, 50-caliber guns. Take your place on the bridge and enjoy the view
from the Captain’s Chair. Now let’s set our sights on ALS Hawaii!
