Click on the link Apply below the title of: Applied Research Program

In this page, you will see:
- All of the draft research proposals you have created, you can edit\delete any of them
unless you submit the proposal.
- All submitted proposals.
- All proposals submitted as a participant.
In addition, you can click Apply to create a new proposal.

There are seven main steps to submit a new proposal:
1. Basic details:
- In this page, you should fill each field using correct information.
- Then, click Save & Proceed

2. Team
Here you will be able to add the research team members who have accounts in the
system. If not, you can send invitations to them by using their emails to register. To
add someone already registered in the system:
Add Research Team / Consultants / Major Assistants / Graduate Students

Note: The research team must register and fill out their personal profile on the system, so
you will be able to add them on the system.
1- Add members, which they already registered in the system, click Add.
2- Search by name or click on Advance Search to be able to search by organization,
email or mobile number.
3- Select the member by checking the checkbox next to the name.
4- Click Add.
5- Select the Role of the member (Research Team / Consultants / Major Assistants
or Graduate Students).

Graduate Students

If the member is not registered in the system, an invitation can be sent to them by
clicking to the link that is on top of page in the instructions.
Note: Write official email to send invitation.
1- Enter the name and the email.
2- Click Send.

Note:
1- When adding consultants, the following guidelines must be followed:
 A consultant from inside or outside Saudi Arabia can work on the project
according to the following regulations:
 To have a Distinguished Scientific and Practical Experience that
qualifies him to work in the Research Project.
 The Number of Consultants should not exceed two per Research per
year.
 A justification should be written in case that a student is not added or does
not add a Saudi students.
 The instructions under Guidelines for Management Plan title should be
followed.
 The number of characters for each field should be followed.

At the last field of the research team, add a description for research team role,
involvement, and duration which should be not less than 500 words.

3. Proposal
Insert proposal details depending on fields and their instructions below.

You should follow the number of words for each field.

Insert the proposal research by clicking on choose file and determine the file, then
clicking on upload.
Notice:
You should be attention to the file size which should not be greater than 10 MB

Click Add button to add Keywords which will be at least four fields, then fill it in Arabic
and English. Finally, click save & proceed.

4. Budget details page:
The Human Resources page is displayed to determine the compensations.

Notice:
The HR budget should not exceed 70% of the actual budget.

1. Research team:
 Enter the payment months for the participating researchers and the
compensations will be calculated.
 The maximum number of months is 20 months for each researcher or less
depending on the project duration entered in basic details tab.
2. Consultants
 Enter the duration of consultation (days).
 Enter the amount of compensations.
 Maximum consultation duration: 10 days per local, internal or external
consultant.
 Maximum remuneration for a consultant: Local consultant 1000 riyal /
day, Internal consultant 2000 riyal/day, and International consultant 3000
riyals/day.
 Maximum tickets: Local consultant 0 riyal, Internal consultant 5000 riyals,
and International consultant 20000 riyals.
3. Main Assistants
 Enter monthly payment
 Enter the amount of the bonus (maximum 2000 riyals).
 In case the principal investigator is the project manager, the project
manager's remuneration is not paid.
4. Graduate Students
 Enter the duration and reward.
5. Professional Technicians and Administrators
 Enter the count (number of technicians, for example)
 Enter the monthly compensations
 The maximum period is 20 months. Maximum Reward: 1600 riyal.
Administrative 1200 riyal. Professional 1000 riyals.
Fill out the required fields and press Save and proceed to move to the next page.

6. Project Plan:

1 Click Add / Edit under the title Objectives.

2. Enter the Objective and the followed approach to reach the Objective.

3 Press Add to add another record. Upon completion of all project objectives, go

to add phases.

4. Click Add / Edit under the title Phases.

5. Select the Objective from the drop-down list, then enter the phase (where the

Objective will be achieved).

6 Press Add to add another record.

7. When you've finished specifying phases for all goals go to Tasks.

8. Click Add / Edit under the title Tasks.

9. Select the Objective and the phase, then enter the task title, task description,

start date, end date, and select the responsible resource form the resource list.

10. Click Add to add another task record.

You will be able to modify by using the steps above. Finally, when you fill out all

required fields, press Save and proceed to move to the next page

7. Review and approval
 This page displays the data of the entered in the research proposal form to
confirm the correctness of the data.
 Submission of the application requires the approval of all Members of the
research team electronically.
 After checking all data, click Send Email for participant approval to team
members against the title of the research team.
Note: (The data and details of the research proposal cannot be modified
after invitations are sent).
If you want to edit the proposal information after sending the participations
requests, you can unlock the proposal by clicking on enable editing. Please
note that this will require you to send the participants requests again.
 After sending the invitation you can follow the status of the invitation on
the request summary page under the title of the research team for each
member or on the main user's page by clicking on the pending
participation invitations link.

You have to review the final PDF Document by clicking on Generate final PDF
document Button. This will take 5 min to generate the pdf document. Once it is generated,
you can view the document by clicking on View final PDF document.

Finally, After approval of all members, you can submit the application by approving the
acknowledgment at the bottom of the page. And. Select the checkbox next to the
acknowledgment and press Submit.
