Analyzer Update
1 In this version

This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

 New collection devices and performance improvements:


▫ Added support for Nemo FF 2.18 version (including support for LTE-
Advanced Carrier Aggregation).
▫ Added support for ASN.1 Release 10.

 Application layer improvements:


▫ New screen-layout for LTE-Advanced (Carrier Aggregation).

 Platform improvements:
▫ Fixed an issue with saving a new or existing event query.

 Documentation:
▫ None.

 Known issues:
▫ None.

2 New collection device or technology support

2.1 Ascom TEMS support

 An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to crash when loading
specific TEMS 15.2.2 log files.

2.2 Nemo support

 Added support for Nemo FF 2.18 version (including support for LTE-
Advanced Carrier Aggregation).

 A problem has been resolved that prevented Analyzer from decoding


messages and setting relevant UMTS and LTE attributes in Nemo Handy
v2.17.

2.3 Rohde and Schwarz support

 An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting the LTE
scanner RSSI attribute in R&S LTE scanner logfiles.

2.4 Swissqual support

 A problem with a corrupted LTE NAS message has been resolved that
prevented Analyzer from loading a specific Swissqual logfile.

2.5 IP support

 In VoLTE, a reassembling functionality has been implemented that


improves the way Analyzer sets SDP attributes in the case where one
SDP message is split into multiple SDP messages. Two new attributes
have been introduced which are needed for SDP reassembly:
SIP_Content_Length
SIP_Content_Type

2.6 Generic

 Added support for ASN.1 Release 10.

 Added support of “Radio_Access_Mode” for LTE-Advanced functionality.

 In UMTS, an issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to detect


incoming call setup failures (the “Uu_IncomingCallSetupFail” event) at
the wrong trigger point.

 In UMTS, a problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to detect
incoming SMS as incoming voice calls, and therefore to falsely identify
voice call setup failures.

3 Application layer improvements

3.1 New screen-layout for LTE-Advanced (Carrier


Aggregation)

 A new screen-layout in Analyzer can display key attributes on the map


together with relevant downlink measurements for LTE-Advanced
Carrier Aggregation.

4 Platform improvements

 A problem has been resolved that would cause an Event query (after
creating a new one or editing an existing one) to be saved as a Crosstab
query.
