Folks:
As we come to the end of a tough week, there are a few things that I would
like to share.
First, thank you. Thank you for continuing to do the great work of this
organization. Thank you for doing it professionally, competently, and
independently, despite the fact that we are still trying to adjust to an FBI without
Director Comey. We all miss him. And I know that he misses us. But the thing that
makes us so unique, the DNA we all share, is our commitment to the mission — our
unbending devotion to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution.
That’s the reason each of us wanted to be a part of the FBI, and it is the thing that
keeps us together today. Thank you for your continued focus on our mission.
Second, I want to reassure you that even though we will have a new director,
our priorities and core values will never change. Respect, compassion, fairness,
integrity, accountability, leadership, diversity, and rigorous obedience to the
Constitution will continue to be the lights that guide us. And we will continue to
march toward those lights through our case work, intelligence analysis, priority
initiatives, development programs, and institutional focus that have helped us
become the FBI we are today. Those things won't change
So please ~ hang in there. As men and women of the FBI, we are at our best
when times are tough. Please stay focused on the mission, keep doing great work,
be good to each other and we will get through this together.
Thanks,
Andrew McCabe
