Mohammad Yahya Musakhel is a Pakistani and completed his Master Degree from the
University of Balochistan in Botany, Presently he is working with the MJKJ Foundation Pakistan
(http://www.mjkjfoundation.com) as Programme Manager. He is responsible for overall
programmatic and financial managements in all over Balochistan and three running projects. He
is engage in different activities in arid and semi arid zones in establishing green belts,
Community physical Infrastructures, water management centers and reservoirs, micro
enterprise/ credits, education and health.
He has also worked with the Sustainable Use Specialist Group for Central Asia as
Conservation Officer in Habitat and Species Conservation Project in Balochistan. He worked
with rural custodian communities to conserve globally threatened species Suleman Markhore
and Afghan Urial and where he has established networking with the government agencies and
local communities regarding conservation and sustainable development.
Working with the World Bank- DHV Netherlands , in Protected Areas Management
Project in Hingol National Parkt, during the period he assisted the government departments and
local communities to developed Hingol National Park management Plan, where he has
established liaison in agencies working in conservation strengthening, reintroduce conservation
ideas and provided basic trainings for capacity building, started a huge training program for the
whole resident communities and established public and privates partnerships
As a field biologist, he has worked with the Rural Community Development Council for
biodiversity conservation program, where he has involved in the conservation of globally
threatened species, assessment of biodiversity in Balochistan, he has also engaged on reptiles
assessment and monitoring in deserts of Chaghi, and its marketing chain, he has developed
networking with the fishermen communities for the conservation of marine life, especially marine
turtle. He is also author of more than 18 publications and two booklets.
