QUICK GUIDE

SETUP
Please download and install the Installation Center (IC) from the email confirming
your purchase of the Composer Cloud, or from this link: soundsonline.com/support

Once installed, go to one of the following directories to open the Installation Center:
⁃ Mac HD / Applications / East West / Installation Center
⁃ C://Program Files/ East West / Installation Center

Please allow a moment for the IC to gather data, then enter your East West /
Soundsonline account email and password, then click "Sign In".

Please note! An iLok Account is required to activate your products. If you do not
have an iLok account, please go to iLok.com and create one. Once created, login to
your EastWest/Soundsonline account and fill in the iLok User Name field under the
'My Account' section. The next time you login to the Installation Center, you'll be
ready to activate your product.
MAIN MENU OPTIONS
Once you have successfully signed in you will see your username at the top-right
corner and below that, the Main Menu (highlighted above). Click in the Main Menu to
reveal the following options.

About will show current version of the IC.

Library Path allows you to select where the PLAY Libraries are downloaded to.
Reinstall PLAY Software will install the PLAY Software in case you encounter
problems with your installation.
Refresh updates your product catalog and activations when changes are made.
Register Authorization Code brings up a window where you can enter the legacy
20-digit authorization code that came with DVD and HDD products.
Submit System Information is a option that can help support narrow down a
technical support issue you may be having.
The last options allow you to Sign Out or Quit the Installation Center.
NEW UPDATES & ACTIVATIONS
Just below the Main Menu new updates and activations will appear. The Installation
Center automatically detects when new software updates are available for PLAY
Software and the IC itself, and also when new product licenses are ready for
activation.

CATEGORIES
Products will fall into various categories within the IC depending on the current state
of their installation or activation.

• MORE EASTWEST PRODUCTS will populate with products that you do not
have a license for in your iLok account.

• NEW DOWNLOADS shows products that are in your iLok account and are
ready to be downloaded. Products in this category have a few different icons
in the far-right to be aware of.

⁃ The downward arrow icon represents a product that is ready for

download. The library size is listed just below the icon.
⁃ If a library is too large to download, it will display the text "From HD".
These products are only available on hard drive. For more details, click
on the following link: Complete Composer Collection

⁃ If a library is in the process of downloading, you can stop it at anytime by

pressing the "x" button. Simply click on the "Resume" icon that appears
to continue downloading where you left off.

• MISSING SAMPLE DATA will list any libraries that have been moved from their
original location, breaking the directory path with PLAY.

⁃ Click on the "Locate" icon and navigate in the finder window to the
product's Instrument folder. Click to highlight the folder, then click
"choose" to save the new location.
• INSTALLED LIBRARIES will list products that are installed properly.

⁃ A check-mark icon in the far-right indicates the product is ready to use!

⁃ An "iLok missing" icon indicates that the product has been activated, but
the iLok containing the license is not plugged in. Plug the iLok key
containing the license for the product into your computer.

ACTIVATION STATUS

• If a library has been activated, it will say so just to the left of the status icon.

• If your product has not been activated, it will display an 'Activate' button on the
right. Click the button, select the License from the list, then select the Location
you'd like to deposit the license to.
TOOL MENU
Hovering your mouse over a product will reveal a Tool icon, which has several
product-specific options.

Show Directory will bring up a finder window showing you where the library is
installed on your computer.
Deactivate will bring up a pop-up window that allows you to deactivate a product
from it's current location.
Download and Reinstall will re-download a product's library and install the products
software components required by the PLAY Software. Please note: if the products
library is already installed, only the software components will be installed.
Locate Directory and Reinstall asks you to locate the products Instrument folder
(see below). This will create an entry in PLAY's Favorites window for that product. This
option will also install the software components required by the PLAY Software.

Restart download is an option for those experiencing trouble resuming the

download process after pausing. It will allow you to begin the download process
from scratch for that library by deleting the installer log and previously downloaded
content (zip files).
