2.2 Assumptions

 All open driveways / roads are concrete roads in slope 1 : 500

 Average annual rainfall in the vicinity – 1100 mm
 Maximum intensity of rainfall – 65 mm/hr
 Source of water supply will be bore well and municipal corporation supply
 Disposal system for storm water will be through water harvesting and
municipal drains / nala
 Disposal system for soil and waste will be through existing Septic Tank and
over flow to Municipal drain.

3. Environment Friendly System Adoption

3.1 The Concept

The concept is to adopt environmental friendly systems in the industry.
It can be achieved mainly based on three areas of environmentalism, referred
to as the cornerstones of environmental responsibility, these include
- Waste / Sewage Disposal
- Energy Conservation
- Water Conservation
The water conservation evaluates the effective conservation of water in all
departments across all levels. The extent to which water is utilized and
recycled is all considered as an important factor. Also all employees should be
well versed with the water conservation operations of the campus.

3.2 Environment
 The area other than ground coverage will be utilized for providing common
facilities and soft / hard landscaping / roads.
 Large no of trees and shrubs shall be grown in the property. Recognizing the
value placed on ecology, careful considerations will be taken into plant
planning and selection. While selecting the plant material there has been due
focus on eco friendly and ecologically balancing plants. A variety of ficus
plants will be planted around the property as they are good nitrogen absorbers
and also provide density and privacy to the facilities.
 Each and every plant has some purpose. For example, Camphor will be
planted at the fountain / water body as they act as mosquito repellant.

3.3 Water Conservation

 Special care is taken to conserve the valuable water resources by employing
carefully planned techniques.
 All taps in the toilets and kitchen / canteen contain special aerators, which
increase the force and decrease the outflow, saving water. Using these aerators
saves up to 50 % of water. Push button type taps will be used to reduce
wastage of water.
 Flushing cisterns / flush valve with dual flush and low flushing volume will
be used to reduce the water wastage and save water.

3.4 Rain Water Harvesting

 Rain water harvesting / percolation wells will be designed at various locations
to store the water collected during monsoons and excess water will be
disposed off to subsoil aquifers to recharge and maintain the ground water
table or drained off to storm water drains.

is proposed to connect the entire water source to the underground tank located
within the premises. In case of failure of either source, provision will be made
to use water from any other water source.

4.3 Water supply required for various usages are categorized as follows:

A. Raw Water:
 The water available from bore wells is the raw water and is stored in the raw
water underground tank after overflow from the fire tank.

B. Soft / Treated Water:

 Depending upon the quality of available water, it will be decided to provide

soft / treated water to all the utilities.**

C. Domestic Water:
 Water from the municipal corporation will be termed as domestic water. No
treatment will be required for it and it will be directly supplied for the potable
uses. In case water from municipal supply is not available, bore well water will
be suitably treated and supplied as domestic water.
D. Drinking Water:
