Extra Pet Approval Will Now Cost Money...

City Council has set in motion a process that will see
residents wanting to legitimize owning more than
2 dogs pay a fee for a decision. Currently, anyone
$2.2 million dollars in avoided costs directly back to the
classroom over the past five years.

It’s 5pm in Toronto, I’m again about 30
000 feet up, winging my way back west. Air
Canada’s excellent entertainment system
has crashed, and I’m a bit frustrated I am not
watching the rest of “Pelham 123”.
It’s 7pm. I am home on the computer. I
am following some updates from a guy I
follow on Twitter. This fella is sitting in seat
9A on Delta Airlines, and he is online. He
is providing a blow by blow account of
the flight, including colourful stories about
the people seated around him. I wonder
how many people are actually sending and
receiving work related email on the same
flight.
It’s 11am. I’m at the security checkpoint in
San Diego airport. The security officer is hand
searching my backpack. I again ask myself
(silently) why I pack all these gadgets I hardly
ever use. At about the same time, the security
officer asks me the same question out loud. l
