Introduction:
Sudanese people Poverty issue is one of the biggest problems facing the whole country,
More than 40% of Sudan’s population are under the poverty line “according to The World
Factbook, CIA, 2004”- which is a huge percentage which needs collaborative efforts to
contribute solving the problem .
Many studies about poverty in Sudan and developing countries shows that the problem is
not only a financial problem ,but it’s a human capacity problem, which does prevent poor
people from developing their lives. Poor people need coaching and trainings to learn the
main skills and conceptual methods of how to:
- Think out of the box to earn living ,
- How to start small projects and manage them ,“which is our concern “ ,
- How to develop the projects to become stable small businesses ,and,
- To give them tools which help them in the stability and continuous
improvement of it.
Project Objectives:
- Improving the quality of life of the 50 targeted women – below poverty line, by
helping them to have their own small business.
- Building the capacity of the 50 targeted women – below poverty line– and
changing their perspective toward saving and investing.
- Help in developing the area of the project, by documenting the problems of the
area and find other NGOs and projects to contribute.

- Duration: 6 Months (26 weeks)
- Location: Sudan, Khartoum State.

50 Women from age 21 to 45 (Women’s' income benefits family

quality of life more than Men’s income)* Due to researches.
• Below poverty line.
• Economically active :who have a specific craft ,but need financing
• All are living in one area.
- Maximum Capital for each small project: 250$
- Project phases:
• Selecting the 50 women.
• Grouping them (5 in each group), with one center to gather all.
• Starting training for the whole fifty.
• Start saving phase (each woman has to save 15% from whole
capital needed for the project, before financing).
• Supervision and training of the center will be the responsibility
of one Social Developer, with other two assistants.
• Training includes, saving methods, small business management,
feasibility studies, and marketing.
• Feasibility studies Creation, with supervision of the Social
Developer.
• Any group finish the required saving, and the feasibility study of
all there members, will be financed immediately.
• Follow up and training will continue till all women repay all of
their loans.
